I'm re-reading Labour in Irish History at the minute and it is amazing. What are everyone's views on Connolly?

I have only read his last statement, which nearly brings me to tears when I recite it to myself. I recognize him as a great Irish socialist along with Big Jim Larkin, Rosie Hackett, Seamus Costello, Ronnie Bunting, Terry Harkin ect.

He seems to be a clear expression of how nationalism can be framed by the bourgeoisie so as to agitate the masses in a manner that doesn’t improve their situation but serves the interests of the native capitalist class.
I think this insight could be deployed on many fronts of the illusion of rhetoric when contradicted by actions and policies congruent with a classes material interest.

A powerful manner of propaganda/analysis.
