This article was only available in French. But it says that Montreal's public bike rental system has received contracts from London (UK) and Boston (MA) to supply Montreal-made bikes and stations to these cities so they can set up similar systems to the that was introduced in Montreal this year.

Though public bike rental networks were invented elsewhere, the Montreal system is solar-powered and mobile. You can move stations around and add bikes to each station depending on demand/weather/need. The system has been an incredible success here, with the number of cyclists more than doubling.

So if you live in either of these cities, you will be seeing our bike system in your city next year.
