Very similar looking, but the Jaguar is prettier. Don't know 'bout performance.

It makes sense that they look similar: the guy that designed the new XK also is responsible for Aston Martin's whole brand identity since he designed (I think) the DB7 and many subsequent Astons.

That being said, the Rapide is a four-door performance sedan, so it can't really be compared to the XK, or only through the fact that the Rapide looks a lot like the DB9, which looks a lot like the XK.
