I drive a Renault Megane Shake It 1.6

Its not the top spec in their rabge but I love the car. I probably would have bought the Clio instead of it. I always thought French cars were shite until I bought this baby. Everything from the road handling to the interior comforts is amazing. And of course, the Mgane R26 puts the Golf GTI and OPC to shame. What do all you POFO peeps drive?

Cars are expensive, cars pollute too much, cars are dangerous and traffic congestions are horrible.

So i drive nothing at the moment. But i get mass transportation for free, since i never pay for it except by indirect taxes. This is my usual tramway :

I love the tram ride to the Atomium.

It's like an adventure ride at an amusement park, going into the metro tunnel, then popping out, then whipping around a corner, through a viaduct tunnel, and around a corner into a park.

I miss Bruxelles. It was the first city I visitied in Europe, and I stayed a month and loved it.

Then it isn't free. Nothing in life ever is. Either you pay for it or somebody else does.

I currently can't afford to drive, but when I do I'll probably get a highly polluting used sports car or a used Japanese bike. if it's a sports car it'll most likely be an '89 RX-7 (which has a Wankel rotary engine that lets dirty exhaust fumes into the intake cycle every revolution and counters it by running a VERY rich mixture- I'm saying all this to piss you lefties off, but it's all true) or a '93 240SX, which I would then convert to a Silvia.

Doesn't this belong in the Cars forum, though?

Then why are all those thousand-mile strips of asphalt called "free"ways?

Because the State arbitrarily decided they would.

In England they're called "motorways".

Im hoping to get a 250 in the summer, once I pass my test.

Do you have to pay a few bucks to get on them?

Or are they government subsidized?

Io idea, but either way they're not free.

Can you name something that is free?

The air? Sex with your partner? Flu symptoms?

What does "free" mean, if things you don't have to pay for don't count?

"free" means pretty much things nobody has to pay for in order for you to use.

All the above are examples of free stuff, yeah.

No form of transportation is, however, except maybe walking.

I drive a green 1996 Dodge Caravan. Although mine is a lot more beat up than this one. Lots of space, cheap insurance, and it only cost me $1k.

I've only owned the van for about 8 months, and my expenses have been less than $50 for oil, anti-freeze, and a couple other similar chemicals.

My dad's a mechanic and he took care of it well, before I bought it, and he'll help me with any repairs I need.

I got a new RAV4 for graduation:

It's spacious, sleek, and fuel efficient for its size. It had the best fuel economy and highest overall rating among small SUVs according to Consumer Reports last year. I like it.

I know this guy who had a tree branch puncture right through the hood of his van. He collected the insurance money on it, then placed a bumper sticker over the hole that was caused.
