The Barbyland depicted in the Barbie movie is a matriarchal libertine dystopia where atomised individuals with no family ties spend every waking moment either producing or consuming wealth. Any Barbie who doesn't fit in is ostracised and forced to live in the hills and any who become pregnant are expelled and forced to live in exile.

Barbyland is a hi-so sorority that offers women a vapid and empty life of leisure at the expense of self actualisation.
