DOJ ( Department of Justice)Investigating Jewish Center Threats

The Justice Department’s Civil Rights Division and the FBI said late Monday they are investigating bomb threats and vandalism at Jewish community centers across the U.S. On Monday alone, at least 10 community centers received bomb threats, forcing many to evacuate while officials searched the premises, NBC News reported. Separately, more than 170 tombstones at a historic St. Louis-area Jewish cemetery were toppled and damaged in a weekend attack that included sites that hold the remains of Holocaust survivors. Police have not determined the motivation of that attack or whether it constitutes a hate crime, according to local reports. The bomb threats were reported at community centers in Albuquerque; Birmingham, Alabama; Buffalo, New York; Chicago; Cleveland; Houston; Milwaukee; Nashville; St. Paul, Minnesota; and Tampa. “We are aware of a number of bomb threats at JCCs. Js are working directly w/local authorities to make sure people & premises are safe,” the JCC Association of North America posted in a tweet. Jewish community centers have seen a spike in bomb threats in 2017, according to the Southern Poverty Law Center. White House press secretary Sean Spicer told NBC News that “hatred and hate-motivated violence of any kind have no place in a country founded on the premise of individual freedom. The president has made it abundantly clear that these actions are unacceptable.” Though his daughter Ivanka tweeted her support for Jewish centers late Monday, President Trump himself has yet to comment on the reported spike rising in anti-Semitic incidents.

The bold part makes it pretty clear this is just an attempt to bring another minority group into the anti Trump group. They still think their identity politics will be successful.

All politics is identity politics. Without exception. The GOP has based its entire strategy on appealing to a section of white voters who view themselves as part of a particular identity group.

I have no particular objection to your tribal affiliation. But recognize one thing. In the end, your tribalism will be no more successful than those of the party you so obviously hate. Until this country finds a way to better unite its tribes, no one will be able to govern.

No one.

And you were claiming the same the last 8 years? Trump won, the sooner you get used to it the better. .:)

Yes, I've been annoyingly conistent.

You seem to labor under the illusion that under Trump things will be different or better. Trump is not markedly different from Obama, just more open about seizing power.

You shouldn't equate Obama with Trump just because someone dared to question your consistency.

Unlikely 4 weeks into Obama's 1st term. Illusion? LOL that's rich.

Trump is right to say that these actions are unacceptable. These threats may be associated with 'white nationalism' and the 'alt-right' unless they are Muslim-related. Jewish centers started getting threatening calls in January, which may be linked to the Trump inauguration, and the culprit could be one of the Trump voters who thinks he's free to commit hate crimes because Trump is the president.

The president bristled last week when asked about threats to Jewish centers.

"Not a simple question. Not a fair question. OK, sit down," Trump told the reporter.

"I am the least anti-Semitic person that you've ever seen in your entire life," he continued.

White House press secretary Sean Spicer responded to the nationwide threats, saying, "Hatred and hate-motivated violence of any kind have no place in a country founded on the promise of individuals freedom. The President has made it abundantly clear that these actions are unacceptable."

It doesn't matter what is unacceptable according to Trump, he is a kind of political phenomenon that catalyses antisemitism anyways. His antisemitic fans may believe he doesn't really mean it. His fans also see him as someone who's going to keep financiers at bay, although he means to deregulate financial markets. Even if he never blames the Jews for anything, his fans do or will do.

Depends what do you call "catalysts antisemitism everywhere", the Israelis think the Liberal Jews in America and European Jew, like Soros are to blame for much of the antisemitism in the world. Both by supporting deconstructive society and by fanning anti western and identities politics in the west.

Israel generates lots of antisemitism worldwide, as well as high profile Jewish financiers do. I'm sure that American antisemites voted for Trump, and he's quite popular among them all around the world. It's because his populism resonates with them.

Why Israel is happy for the "antisemitic" backlash against the Jews? Here in a Democratic convention, few months ago, non Muslim, white American liberals, some of them could be Jews as they were incited by the Liberal Jew Bernie Sanders, burning the Israeli flag. They had it coming

Glad we could just skip straight to Soros on page 1. I thought it might take longer than a page to go full conspiratard, but I was wrong. Keep up the posting guys, you are doing great work!

I also enjoy Noir and One Degree posting on the same page because the latter is an insane person who hates the idea of groups and the former is an insane person who can't distinguish the actions of individuals from groups.
