Largest one day gains in history seems to have silenced the Trump doomsayers. Lol

The market will probably fall tomorrow. There will always be people buying low. You're right though, a lot of this isn't Trump, but some is.

Many believed Trump. “tremendous opportunity to buy”

President Donald Trump on Christmas Day hailed U.S. companies as “the greatest in the world,” adding that they present a “tremendous opportunity to buy” for investors.

“I have great confidence in our companies. We have companies, the greatest in the world, and they’re doing really well. They have record kinds of numbers. So I think it’s a tremendous opportunity to buy,” Trump said, according to a report on Reuters website.

I guess Donald needed me to help subsidize his own humongous tax cut and all his wealthy friends at the Mar-a-lago to whom he brazenly bragged, "You all just got a whole lot richer!"

The so-called middle class tax cut was a tax fraud on the American public. The primary beneficiaries were Wall Street hedge funds and large multinational corporations, not the middle class. Comparatively little was put in the pockets of the average consumer. Worst of all, the deficit has ballooned out of control and there is hardly anything to show for it other than record corporate stock buybacks, dividend payments and executive compensation. Moreover, in the process, the middle class lost its ability to deduct state and local taxes - the largest deduction for many - and is far and away worse off now than it was before. Done correctly, a tax cut might have helped the majority of taxpayers and stimulated the economy for years to come. In this case, the whole thing was duplicitous. This president and Congress will most certainly go down as among the worst in history.

I don't care about deduction of state and local taxes, because I take the standard deduction, which was increased under the new tax laws. Praise the Lord.

Yes, it hurt liberal states to emphasize how much they are paying compared to conservative states. Both tax and waste uncontrollably, but Conservatives are still pikers compared to Democrats. Both love their hidden taxes instead of a set income tax that clearly shows what we give the government in excess of what they need. The amount we actually pay in taxes and a government who always says it is not enough is the real problem.

Don't feed me that simple minded "liberal/conservative" diversion/side show. Follow the money buster, follow the money. That's what it is all about. The liberal/conservative dichotomy is nothing more that the current flavor of the time tested divide and conquer strategy used by plutocracies down thru the ages to distract and amuse simpletons.

Here it is: You have the 1% billionaire class endlessly looking for their next billion who make the rules and stack the deck favoring themselves and you have the saps like you and me occupying the remaining 99%. Donald himself pointed this out with his "You all just got a whole lot richer!" comment at one of his Mar-A-Lago greed fests.

Wow, if you think my post was a ‘simple minded division of liberal/conservative’, then the best I can think of is you never read it.

An olive branch, answered by a blank stare.
An E for effort, Jimbo.

My post clearly pointed out my belief both parties are guilty. The only liberal/conservative ‘diversion’ was to point out the factliberal states tax more. Who do liberals think benefit from all those taxes? You are still complaining the poor are not benefiting, so apparently you enjoy giving your money to the 1% who don’t spend it the way they tell you. Why are you bitching about the 1% when you are their bitches? :)

What Trump's tax reform amounted to was tax theft that in "reverse Robin Hood" fashion took from the poor and middle-class and gave to the rich. To quote Donald in a comment to his billionaire buddies at a Christmas eve greed fest last year at his Florida joint : "You all just got a lot richer". It was legislative robbery by the new Trump kleptocracy that has increased income inequality and left our Treasury with a massive and growing deficit. And now the master of "The Art of the Steal" wants a $5 billion Christmas present for his "wall" while markets tank due to his "Tariff Man" trade war with China. Maybe an economic collapse is what it will finally take for his wealthy backers and his "base" to realize that Trump has once again left them holding the bag for another bankruptcy.

Good job Trump, at least one thing you did right.

You seem to forget that the trade deficit had been skyrocketing during the eight years of Obama and it is going to continue to get worse until these new trade agreements Trump is negotiating kicks in. Trump is the only President in about 20 years that wants to do anything to fix the trade deficit. He certainly is not getting any help form the Democrats, who only want to obstruct any progress.

US income inequality, already at its worst levels since the 1920s, is likely to get worse because of President Donald Trump's economic policies, including a tax-cut program that was heavily tilted toward the wealthy. US inequality statistics have been so startling in recent years that they have almost ceased to shock — but they could undergird America's next financial crisis.

That's because consumers' increasing reliance on debt in an environment of stagnant wages is leaving more American families financially insecure, to the point where even minor setbacks can be devastating.

The USA is mainly a capitalist country. That means we don't believe in income equality and your communist/socialist propaganda.

That you put communist with socialist shows how ignorant you actually are of what socialism is. Too bad you're irredeemable.

They are both bad to me and I am glad to be an irredeemable capitalist and debt free.
Praise the Lord.

Anything you don't understand is bad, but then you aren't willing to learn anything new, so you're just an ignorant old man rambling on about things he knows nothing about.

You're irredeemably ignorant. That's not something to be proud of.
