my favorite part is "space is limited"

I used to hire and fire people. If someone was actually dumb enough to show up looking for a job with a piece of ass wipe from T.U. , the interview would have ended right there  .

$35,000 "Gold Elite" programs were actually sold to some extremely stupid suckers.

In fairness $35,000 is actually sort of a bargain for a college degree in the US.......

They were not college degrees. They were 'certificates' of 'graduation'. Lol.

College education is pretty rough, at least in my field studying as a computer professional. I have actually written an undergraduate paper that was over 100 pages literally. 107 pages to be exact. Now, these pages also include screen shots along with a great deal of writing and justifying and explaining and various other exercises with the Linux operating system. Classes are rough if you are going after a real deal degree.

Most university degrees are useless. They do not teach the knowledge that is needed to do technical operations.

Occupations that require wasteful degrees should Instead have hands on apprenticeships, classes that actually teach necessary information, and how to maximize productivity.

I heard that degrees from USA are over worked, useless, and lack effectiveness.

I don't know about all that, I have put to good use what I have learned already from where I am attending school. But the classes are tough and VERY technical. You also need a mathematical mind to understand how computers work, IP addresses in both IPv4 (32 bit addressing for IPv4 using decimal notation plus know how to use Classless Inter-Domain Notation to subnet or super-net IPv4 addresses for networks and hosts) and IPv6 (128 bit addressing using hexadecimal notation) plus understanding how circuits work in a computer like with the Arithmetic Logic Unit and Control Unit for CPU processors along with registers, RAM and virtual memory and the fetch and execute cycles. Understanding circuits and how they operate require a great deal of understanding Discrete Mathematics, binary math and Boolean logic. Paging and thrashing and things of that nature when it comes to exchanging pages between virtual memory and main memory for the CPU to process.

Well, it depends on the degree. A degree can be a factor in getting hired in the first place. But the real useful knowledge is often gained on the job, not as a student in a classroom.

I was being a little flippant, my point was that higher education in the US is exorbitantly priced.

P.T.Barnum lied easily and often. (Obese Donald recently passed the 10,000 lie mark) When he was not fabricating, he was exaggerating; he routinely inflated how much he’d spent on his various business ventures. He made a fortune, then lost it (Obese Donald's 6 bankruptcies come to mind). While broke, he gave speeches on “the art of money-getting” (Trump University ? ); improbably enough, these proved extremely profitable. Toward the end of his life, Barnum toyed with the idea of running for President. His running mate, he suggested, should come from a state like Indiana  .

Better than anyone who’d come before, P.T.Barnum understood that the public was willing—even eager—to be conned, provided there was enough entertainment to be had in the process. Barnum became one of the most celebrated men in America not despite his bigotry and duplicity, his flimflamming and self-dealing, but because of them. He didn’t so much fool the public as indulge it.

I know Obese Donald would not like the comparison so ….. therefore it is "fake". However it happens to be true and a really fascinating quirk of history …..

Do a little research sometime before resorting to the usual knee jerk fake news/alternative facts response.

I think you are just jealous that Donald Trump became rich as a great businessman and married an intelligent and beautiful model wife and, on top of that, fooled all the Democrats into thinking Hillary would win easily. Now you have to rely on the Democrat Fake news to make you feel better about being a loser.

That might be overstating things a bit. There are lots of degrees that will not help you earn more money that are nevertheless contributing to human knowledge, like archaeology.

SSDR wrote:I heard that degrees from USA are over worked, useless, and lack effectiveness.

Basically, any degree with "studies" or "social" in the title is dubious. Colleges offer those degrees to students who are basically dumb, but are willing to pay a lot in fees. Some jobs basically require a baccalaureate degree, and so a degree in "women's studies" fits the bill. So four years worth of feminism and pornography gets you a degree that could get you a government job that requires a college degree.

Computer science is definitely worth the time and effort.

Often times, it is unnecessarily overpriced. Clearly, colleges and universities aren't subject to Federal Trade Commission regulations.

There are many positions in the federal government that require a Bachelor Degree (regardless of subject) just to apply. So a person with an Associate Degree and much experience in the field can not even compete for those positions with someone with a Bachelor Degree that has no experience in the field.

Ivanka TRUMPs WHITE dog is named 'Winter'. Is this a jab against people from warmer climates? That dog lives better than people with degrees in gender studies. Hey hey ho ho that dog has got to go.

I believe the dog was probably named "Winter" because it is the color of the winter snow. Makes sense to me.

Ivanka Trump gives daughter Arabella a puppy for her birthday

First daughter Ivanka Trump shared a photo on Saturday of an adorable snow-white puppy she bought for daughter Arabella’s 8th birthday.

“Meet Winter, Arabella’s birthday dream come true and the newest member of the Kushner family!” Ivanka, 37, wrote on Instagram of the gift for her daughter, whose birthday was last Wednesday.

The image of the new pet, all-white and with piercing eyes, brought a flood of praise and admiration in the comments.

But it also sparked a fierce debate … over exactly what breed Winter is.
