To be honest, I don't mind this going to court. I don't know what the dismiss count is now but another one is fine with me. The problem is it won't go to court because Rudy knows it's a hoax and doesn't want to get done for perjury.

As for "Russiagate, does anyone even discuss this anymore? I suspect Trump dI'd do something and maybe the FBI have more on him then anyone knows, but until (or if) they show it, this is a non issue for me.

Who is the crackpot now that’s absolutely ridiculous. As much as you all wanna laugh and attack Rudy Giuliani he was one hell of a attorney who took down the mafia in New York, he knows exactly what he’s doing. They figured all along this will have to be a supreme court decision. You can’t just skip the state courts and go directly to the Supreme Court.

Russiagate .....Well it’s a non-issue for you because it’s an embarrassment that you actually supported it. For everyone else it’s a reminder of the type of shit that the Democrats would pull on things like elections.

He certainly knows what he's doing when he puts a conference speech next to a porn and dildo shop. He knows his audience.

I'd like to think this isn't going that far without any evidence. And if it does, it will be 6-3 defeat as anything else will be hard to justify a fair court.

It's a non-issue to me because it has been resolved... for now. I don't dwell on something that isn't going anywhere. And if it starts to become something due to new evidence, I will become interested again. I don't make my opinions on the mouthpiece of Reddit.

With little success (1-46) in the lower courts, it's unclear if the US Supreme Court would be willing to hear any of the president's legal challenges.

Even if it did, no new witnesses are heard, no new evidence introduced, and the case will be decided on a record of prior proceedings.

It would have little chance of success.

The SCOTUS is not trier of fact. It can only rule on the constitutional aspects of the case. First Trump has to show that the lower courts erred. Not going to happen. Members of the Supreme Court realize that they owe their power to no one. They are lifetime appointments and it is the devil to get rid of one. Trump holds nothing over any of them.

Trump is now in opposition. He will use this chance to make anti-Trumpists taste their own poison. Republican, white male anger will just grow in next 4 years.

Naaa. That was said about President Obama. Didn't happen. Never happened in the past. What will happen is simply this. If the pandemic is defeated and the economy remains good, Americans, and particularly white ones, will go back to ignoring their government.

The day he leaves office Trump ceases to be a factor. He will be so entangled in his own personal financial affairs that he will have little time to cause any trouble for anyone. There is a distinct possibility that Trump will be criminally charged for all kinds of chicanery in New York. His family too.

As for Barr's special counsel. Non issue. It may be that Barr has some answering to do himself but there will be no bombshells from the SC. There will presumably be an adult in charge of the Justice Department now so the special counsel will have to play by the rules. What might happen is that stuff from Mueller, which had been suppressed by Barr, will come out. That may not bode well for Trump and others.

America is frightened (of the pandemic) and it is bone weary of Trump and his escapades. It is eager to get back to boring. If we were going to see any unrest we would be seeing it now. Maybe there are a few flag-toting hillbillies on street corners but no big marches, demonstrations or even much heated rhetoric. Trump and the Trump era is over. Stick a fork in it. It is done.

MAGA vs average republican civil war within the GOP is heating up. I think that this will loose GOP the senate in the Georgian run offs. I mean what is the point of voting if it is rigged :excited: ?

I completely agree @JohnRawls . I encourage my fellow white republicans to stay home in protest of what is obviously a fraudulent takeover of Dixie by brown people and the Jews. >:

With respect to the Georgia senate run off. A lot of people are saying how Trump is hurting those races since he's talking about fraud so much. However, I don't think that will keep Republican voters home. I think most Trumptards deep down, know there's no fraud. They will show up to vote. IF they lose, they will just claim fraud again. If they win, all of sudden it will have been the cleanest election with no fraud.

When the race is basically 50-50% then every 1% matters and matters a lot. That is the case right now for Georgia. This is not something that the GOP can afford right now with them loosing the house and presidency already. Senate is the last? One of the last? stronghold of higher power that really matter that they still have left.

No. Hunter Biden corruption and Obama-Biden high crimes won't go away. Biden admin will be under investigation for 4 years.

Biden is so vulnerable so he can be subject to blackmail by foreign countries. Once countries get details of his Ukraine corruption, he can't resist anymore.

What are you talking about?

Lower chamber of Congress was already under Dems control. Reps narrowed the gap. Most pollster predict that House will switch to Reps. Getting one of those Georgia senate races is enough for Reps.

I have said that for some time from the beginnings of the American Republic in 1776 AD, that the American people are always divided roughly into thirds, and the Populist/Nationalist Third isn't going away, they've been activated and will likely either capture one of the major political parties or form one of their own. Trump and Trumpism are gone, not being real in any case, but the voters he got back in 2016 didn't exactly change their minds about anything. They'll accept ''boring'' until they find a ''Trump'' without Trump's personal flaws, or that new ''Trump'' finds them.

There's a handful already talking about 2024. My prediction is for Ted Cruz. He's been the smartest one of the lot all along.

As for Trump, he will be remembered for what he kept others from doing than for what he did, a negative role but perhaps necessary in the larger scheme of things.

Right, and that's why I think that the Trumptards will show up and vote. They will not boycott the election.

I’ve been saying Ted Cruz for sometime now but if Ted Cruz was president today we’d be in the same exact spot, with the same hoaxes and behavior from the Democrats.

As for Trump if he runs again or not, he’s going to be a force in terms of shaping future political candidates and the alternative narrative to the media, which is just an extension of the Democrat party.

The responses would be different, not necessarily better or worse. Trump fights to the very end, and shows people that Liberalism can be beaten, which is yet another reason why they hate him so much...

He could still win re-election, and in a constitutional manner, if he can prove fraud to the Supreme Court. So it's too early still to think about 2024. He's still fighting, right or wrong, and for that I might actually give him some credit. Let's not fool ourselves; the Democrats would be doing the same thing if the shoe was on the other foot, I promise you.

I agree but I think you may have forgot how polarizing Ted Cruz has been. He has done a good job of changing some things up but make no bones about it they hate Ted Cruz with similar passion.

Possibly. The thing is that if Trump decided to run again, and if he is out of jail he will need the money. he will take out Cruz.

I have three names that I believe have made strategic decisions to hide for now in order to run in 2024.

One is Jeff Flake of Arizona. He may try governor instead but he is a good guy and can play on the "true conservative" line.

The second is Paul Ryan of Wisconsin. He is a known commodity and has mostly avoided controversy. He is a Rand-roid and can lay claim to the popular but mostly meaningless label "libertarian". This is popular mostly with people who have no clue what it means but think it has something to do with Guns and immigration. (It does but not at all in the way these people believe it does.)

The third is Romney. He has been positioning himself as the anti-Trump. If Trump should take a criminal fall Romney will suddenly look very good.

It would look that way to you. You, unlike the mainstream media, are happy to overlook Trump's lies, inaction and general sloth. I suppose you include the largest cable news outfit, Fox, in the "liberal media group? You may want to do that. Fox is running as fast and as far from Trump as it can. Many of the hard right media platforms have noted that Fox is turning left. They cite Hannty's softball interview with DeBlasio as an example. Or the firing of a couple of hard right personalities. They should turn a bit left too. They had become a laughing stock and they backed the wrong horse. Advertisers are not happy with them either. Tucker Carlson (a major loon anyway) lost T-Mobile and Papa Johns over his racist and inflammatory comments about Black Lives Matter.

@annatar1914

...and the Populist/Nationalist Third isn't going away,

I agree with one caveat. This group is pretty fickle. They do not always support Republican party rhetoric. The Tea Party faction of the Republican Party, which includes many if not most of this Populist/Nationalist group, has been a pain in the ass to the Republican Party, which cannot live without them. I could easily see them fleeing to a third party position similar to the Ross Perot movement a few years back.

So. It could be Cruz but I think he will fall to in-fighting. He is a tad thick and has the charisma of a limo driver. I actually met him once. I was on a plane with him coming home from DC through Dallas. He few coach. Good on him for that. He failed to defend his won wife from attacks by Trump so shame on him for that. Right now I could vote for either Flake or Romney under the right circumstances.

Trump fights to the very end, and shows people that Liberalism can be beaten,

Woah!! When Biden was elected liberalism WAS beaten and it was not Trump who did it. Biden is FAR from a liberal and Harris even less so. She is a hard-bitten prosecutor. When Bernie was pushed aside that was the end of liberalism on a national level. There are a few liberals in congress but very few.

I'd bet it will actually be decided among Cruz, Pence, and Romney.
