I am so proud of you, You can almost spell my name correctly. It's actually, "Godstud", as it's a name, so the first letter is capital. That's OK. I get that English isn't your first language, so it's forgivable. :D

Another week, another decline in the prospected death rate according to the CDC. Current math suggests that about 1,600 people died from the disease this last week, including comorbidity deaths.

According to the WHO: https://covid19.who.int/region/amro/country/us
  • Case counts may have peaked on the 19th.
  • There has been no spike in deaths even though we're more than two weeks past the rise in case numbers; average deaths in the US are the lowest they've been since the beginning of the pandemic tracking.

Here's the thing,
You can't die twice. Your final point is inevitable, eventually you reach a point were all those deaths from covid mean they are no longer around to die later and so the average deaths will fall below 100% of expected deaths.

God knows where you get 1600 from, but yet again it's way out.

Yes it looks like US cases have peaked for now, lots of sickness and deaths tend to make people more cautious and this reduces the R rate. In addition to any social distancing measures in place.

Deaths from covid have been rising steadily since late June from an average of 516 per day to 938 per day.

You're not actually looking at the figures on the WHO page you link to, are you? It says the US weekly death figures have increased from 3441 for the week of 1-7 July, to 6259 for 21-27 July. The CDC pages also show the increase in deaths started around the week ending 4 July. I'll update the figures in the other thread when we're a full week from the last time - that way we'll be consistent.

You are not making what I would call "high effort posts". Unless you mean your effort is at misdirection.

Of course that's his goal. it fits the whole narrative that this is a fabricated pandemic or some other such conspiracy theory that the right-wing SJWs have concocted.

That is right. @Prosthetic Conscience and usermention=16462]@Godstud[/usermention]

The sad thing is that there are a great many people who are simply not intelligent enough to check out what he says. So they read it and decide they don't need a mask and they allow his out and out lying to kill them or their children, or their parents. @Wulfschilde by posting the lies that he is, could very well be murdering people. It is as important as that.

Where do you go with these scum of the earth people? How do you reconcile the Tea Party Patriots funding a group of lying doctors standing on the capital steps and proclaiming that a dangerous drug, hydroxycloraquine, is a cure for covid. This is the republican party murdering Americans. And, of course Trump picked it up off of Brietbart.

I am sure Wolfsheilde is having fun. I am equally sure that he would deny that he intends to murder people through his posting obviously misleading stuff. But he has to own it. He is fortunate that I do not own this site. He would be out of here today.

Florida deaths increasing. Now they are reporting that similar to Texas and Newyork cooling trailers are being used to store the bodies.
That's gonna go well in a state full of old people who traditionally vote republican.

Republicans love to use fear to manipulate people and try to get their vote... Perhaps democrats need to learn a trick or two and rent a dozen of those freezer trailers, put a couple of "biohazard COVID 19 stickers" and leave them empty and just park them outside retirement communities and "55+" condos, assisted living facilities, places that play bingo, and casinos. See how fast FL gets back in line.
Ok ok, I'm saying it in gest, I don't really mean it but it is infuriating the idiocy of "our leaders".
#15110407
No, just no. Paying attention to the "cooling trailers" for the first time in your life (actually a normal use of technology) doesn't mean that there is a spike in second wave deaths.

Since you guys keep accusing me of misrepresenting things, maybe I should just post pictures from now on:

Here we can see that the rise in cases started in mid to late June. Deaths have not increased but are at a low point since late May/early June.

This is the WHO data, which records more deaths than the CDC data (I have no idea where they get their numbers from, since you'd think the CDC would have better access to information than them).

The White House transferred the Covid-19 accounting from the CDC to a small private company it can control.

Unsurprisingly, the exponential growth of new infections started to level off and then decline 2 days after the transfer. The transfer came just in time to cover up the rise in deaths that follows the exponential growth in infections.

At this point, official data coming from the US are most certainly manipulated. For Pete's sake, we are talking about an administration that even lied about the crowd at Trump's inaugural speech.

Returning to the topic of this thread, Covid-19 has been shown to result in cardiovascular problems and there is the possibility that some of the damage to the heart muscle may be permanent. That could add tens of millions of patients with cardiovascular problems who may need treatment all their live in the US alone.

People who worry about economic cost should think about that.

No. Here we can see that deaths have been rising since early July. Maybe your eyesight is poor, so you should use the 'hover' feature, not to show you the number of cases in early March, but the number of deaths in July. That way, you'd get the figures that I have given you. As I said, you haven't even bothered reading the page you link to. That's why you are putting out falsehoods. That's either because you are making no effort to read, or because your effort is being put into deceiving people.

Don't be like Trump: don't just see a picture, and assume that, thanks to poor eyesight, it just confirms what you hope to be true, and instead read. Or, don't be like Trump: don't lie through your teeth.

I assume that it was some kind of correction for an error in their recording. If we can't trust the CDC and we can't trust the WHO, what are we supposed to reference?

And no, there is no "exponential increase in deaths" happening. Just look at the picture, depending on how you time frame it we are at either the lowest or second lowest point according to the WHO (not counting the very beginning).

So you accept the figures on the WHO site appear to be ad-hoc yet want to beleive they are correct.

I see no reason to assume figures from individual states or CDC are wrong.
