Well, hopefully your thesis is proven to be incorrect in the future. The U.S. needs to be a true democracy where ALL the people and not just ONLY a wealthy white minority is represented in government. A government that only really represents a small wealthy white minority is what I refer to as an apartheid minority rule somewhat similar to apartheid South Africa. The republicans do not seek to represent ALL the people, ONLY a wealthy few white minority. They would prefer the U.S. to be an apartheid South Africa.

@wat0n

Personally, I think we are best served with her running at the state and local level given that Senate and Presidential elections are ran and controlled at the state and local level. With the republicans in power at the state and local level, we can't trust the election results because they have passed voter suppression laws to prevent the right to vote to a select group of minorities, like black people, that they know generally don't vote for them. They can use their power at the local level to interfere and prevent fair elections. Gerrymandering is also another problem that has increased polarization in American politics.

This is basically every South American country. Run by a wealthy minority which prioritizes their own wealth. :)

Trumpist really want to turn America into a shithole. :lol:

The important thing to remember though is that we are never out of the fight. Freedom and democracy is never out of the fight. So, we must never give up the fight for freedom and democracy no matter what happens. That's what people like you and I are all about.

We'll see if the voters of Georgia agree with you. People aren't liking Democrats much these days.

That doesn't sound good. She would be the monster Republicans are, two wrongs don't make a right.

Interesting, but devoid of any connection to reality. Ask yourself why you're afraid.

Well, this voter of Georgia is definitely a supporter of Stacey Abrams and I plan to vote for her. But lets' see what sort of dirty tricks the Georgia republicans will try to play in this election.

Are you a welfare recipient?

Stacey is brilliant, and a hard worker.

"In 1995, Abrams earned a Bachelor of Arts in interdisciplinary studies (political science, economics, and sociology) from Spelman College, magna cum laude.[2] While in college, she worked in the youth services department in the office of Atlanta mayor Maynard Jackson.[17] She later interned at the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency.[17] As a freshman in 1992, Abrams took part in a protest on the steps of the Georgia Capitol, during which she joined in burning the state flag. At that time, Georgia's state flag incorporated the Confederate battle flag, which had been added to the state flag in 1956 as an anti-civil rights movement action.[18][19][20]

As a Harry S. Truman Scholar, Abrams studied public policy at the University of Texas at Austin's LBJ School of Public Affairs, where she earned a Master of Public Affairs degree in 1998. In 1999, she earned a Juris Doctor from Yale Law School.[2] "
