Literally running out of cash, losing its reputation within your own movement and closing clinics left right and centre Blockbuster Video style.

Reputation is seriously in tatters. Probably being shorted to death by Wall Street and whatnot too, many of their affiliates have straight up gone bankrupt.

Would probably be dead already without Obama forcing all taxpayers to pay up.

If Planned Parenthood was a private company listed on Wall Street and you had stock in it bought at its "peak in the 1990s", you have panicked and sold it by now. Boomer stock is dying. Time for a new company with newer ideas and better technology to replace it.

Sinking FINANCIALLY. You're the expert in that field, do your due diligence.

Thanks for sharing the first Google result you found, which is an opinion piece. Before even getting to the body of the article I would like to share this line from the header:

The organization is a fundraising juggernaut

Again, without even getting to the article itself I have already read more of it than you have, so I will be stopping there.

Colliric, I know you are ashamed to tell us who informs you on your many rightwing positions because obviously they are very stupid. But seeing as how continually misinformed you are maybe it's time to wonder if they are lying to you. Possibly for money.

Dude you're a financial expert, you know how bad it is even for non-profits when their Bricks-and-Mortar "stores" close.

Online Stores (Netflix) - Mailed out Abortion Pills, online scripts.

Bricks-and-Mortar (Blockbuster Video) - Planned Parenthood

They're fucken outdated.

Also you know I'm a huge fan of the Herald Sun newspaper.... Legit just bought today's edition. Murdoch's most famous and widely homegrown rag. You know I don't care. I also watch RT and Al Jazeera.

Why do right-wingers on this board, notably colliric and UM, think that they have any *credibility* around the left side of the political spectrum?

It's *astounding* actually, that anyone like them with distinctly *a-social* politics -- at best -- would be listened-to by those on the left-wing who have *pro-social* politics. ('Equality vs. hierarchy'.)

So maybe don't waste your time and mine (etc.) by *overreaching* beyond the bounds of whatever it is that you profess and support politically -- the status-quo capitalist nation-state or the stock market or whatever.

It's like some strange oversized robotic hand and arm, reaching down from the sky into one's personal space -- simply entirely inappropriate, obvious, and pointless.

WELL IT IS!

And you know it is too.

I mean people can literally order abortion pills online and AT HOME SERVICES AS WELL.

Heck it's pretty safe having a baby at home too these days. So long as the obstetrician team brings everything they need and it's not in breach birth position.

Hospital births in Australia have significantly decreased over the last two decades.

I believe in Universal Healthcare, decreasing inflation, anti-zionist support of BDS(some have accused me of Antisemitism, and I accept thats what you believe about me, but that's not my personal view), unionism and raising the minimum wage as much as possible. All of which are considered "socialist" by most people.

It's almost comical how @colliric always chimes in spouting American rightwing talking points, typing from Australia.

I guess it is just his hobby to read American rightwing propaganda, and then attempt to banter on the internet about it (before being laughed out of the room).

But the stacked supreme court will probably approve the bill in whatever bumbfuck state brought the case, but I don't know that Roe vs Wade is about to be overturned, I doubt it.

.

Perhaps through telahealth appointments, which have become a big thing in these pandemic times.

I've caused a woman to use morning after pills twice. Once a condom slipped off, another time it broke.

Do I feel bad about it?

Hell no.

Newsflash: Fox News is owned by a bunch of Aussies.

MURDOCH PROPOGANDA IS AUSTRALIAN!

That's what Anchorman 2 was making fun of in this scene:

News Corporation is listed on the Australian Stock Exchange, so I can literally buy stock in Fox News on the local stockmarket.

..... And Wikileaks is Australian by creation too.

Then why aren't we *hearing* more of all of this -- !

Instead you're pointedly attacking a women's *health services* organization, and imposing on the rest of us to go-along with that. That's *right-wing*, not left-wing.

It's literally not, and you don't have to read past the headline to even discern that from the article you shared. And do you seriously know so little about Planned Parenthood that you're unaware that 1) they are non-profit, and therefore do not compete against those pills and 2) they offer services besides abortion?

Since you refuse to read your own article here is a screenshot to show you just how far you have to read before your premise is invalidated:

It's incredible how there is a perfect inverse correlation between how much a rightwinger knows about something and how hard they hate it.

Well first you have to destroy this healthcare network to appease the braying of loud morons making bad faith arguments who don't want it to exist. Then the people who object to its existence will have to come up with a new bad faith position because they achieved their goal. It's just logical!

That doesn't mean anything. Well, it does in the sense that Australians are propogandizing Americans. Of course, News Corp is also in Britain. And is also in Australia, propagandizing them. The Murdochs are making money conning gullible people, but most of the people working for Fox News are probably American.

But yeah, it is a global propaganda network, originating in Australia, this is true.

And this is very well known, moreover.

A lot of women in Texas actually die because they can’t afford prenatal care and health issues that could be addressed go unnoticed until you have it kill the mother.
It’s possibly one of the worst places for mothers without money. On the other hand my daughter was born in Amarillo and the hospital was incredible in its facilities and staff professionalism.
Such is a disparity of access based on having a decent job and some insurance.

Indeed Wellsy. There is a number of reasons for wanting an abortion. Most have nothing to with not wanting the child. And it doesn't escape my attention that this has some warped religious flavour to it in any case.

Nonetheless the problems don't just go away by giving birth. There maybe a significant increase of orphans, illegal abortions, abandonment, disability needs, human trafficking and every other activity that costs the tax payer money that unwanted children warrants. And sure, a lot of needless deaths for the mother. And I write this as someone who doesn't agree with abortions. Or perhaps I do. In specific instances. Which I guess is the whole point of the law in the first place.

But as I said, this largely effects the poor, who by and large aren't religious redneck zealots. And will no doubt only expand the political demographic towards the Democrats over time. So this is what we call in the UK as an own goal. They are cutting off their nose despite their face by forcing those they don't like to out breed them.

Only in America. :hmm:

Indeed. It doesn't even mean pro abortion as it happens. You can of course personally decide not to ever have an abortion but at least allow people to make up their own minds on the subject given the circumstances. I think that is the problem we have here. It seems people think abortions are like a form of birth control whilst they are legal. They aren't, and aren't exactly a nice experience in any case. They are a last resort given life isn't perfect.
