I know how you can several birds with one stone.

In Austria, for example, you have to take a 3 year degree, pass a demanding state test, before you can make pastry. Walk into a corner store and buy what looks like a Ring Ding, and it will knock your socks off. Most restaurant desserts here are not nearly as good.

So go to Europe, see the sights, partake of anything that interests you, have fun.
