To remain neutral you need deterrence. Today wars are so the more distance weapons you have the less loss of life.

F-35s are cool as a command center because of their data collection, but it needs rockets, rockets are cheap (a small economy can not have a vast weapons industry). Iran deters its enemies with 100 000 rockets fired 1 minute after attack, enough to overwhelm all US bases with this salvo.

In many conflicts like Russia-Ukraine and Hezbollah-Israel are fought with distance weapons. a Prolonged conflict makes a military industrial complex necessary.

Ukraine will this year get 1,5 Million cheap drones even if Russia can jam 90% this means still 150'000 flying bombs...


Switzerland has today a stronger military then Germany, but germany has an military industrial complex... although Swizz can mobilize about 1,5 Million soldiers

Swiss army is excellent in mountain warfare but in urban warfare the army sucks... it needs a 500'000 man strong paramilitary creative force for urban warfare.



In my view it needs to rebuild the P-26 (secret army) for urban guerrilla warfare. P-26 had to order to let them roll over, and fight the enemy behind the frontline.


Switzerland should prapare for 20 Years nuclear winter food.

AFAIK Socialist Yugoslavia was well prepared (Ammunition and Food).. During the Civil wars nearly never no famine happened because people could be feeded by military reserves
