Insurance companies are a hazard to population health. It is time for them to pay GST as well.

Aren't town council fees and insurance about the same thing because both involve in paying for an important service?
Actually, I think that premiums paid to insurance companies ought to be charged GST because insurance companies are getting too greedy and actually don't do any service/work at all to promote the health of it's members, which should be it's duty to begin with.
The government is actually the one in need of money since health minister Gan Kim Yong implies that he has insufficient money to invest in preventive healthcare, thus MOH is always fire fighting because it doesn't have sufficient funds for fire prevention to begin with (thus the need to raise overall GST rates):

The insurance companies are thus a hazard more than a help to population health, they are the biggest tax evaders of all.
The government should make them pay GST like everyone else.
The government should use the GST paid by insurance companies to fund it's preventive healthcare strategies rather than causing citizens more stress by raising the overall GST whilst allowing insurance companies to evade even more GST and create nebulous contracts to fool people into feeling secure and protected when in truth they are not.
