By his own data he seems premature to declare china out of it, given the bounce at the end. If you look at Singapore they have a had a drop off the exponential only to then bounce right back into it later. Containment just delays the inevitable at best. Even assuming china is not flat out lying about their data (commies tend to lie all the time remember) they will be straight back on the exponential once the quarantine is breached or lifted.

He talked about bounces, and other caveats as well.

This is a metric, a yardstick, that is absolutely brilliant at showing what works at controlling the disease.

But that's all it does, if you were doing a serious analysis, you'd want to use a number of metrics to get a better handle on things.

Ah, but can it make a trypanophobic anti-vaxxer understand? (not looking at anyone in particular , Sivad).

@SolarCross . China is a strange place. Chiefly because it is full of batshit crazy Chinese. Just because you see police from neighbouring regions trying to arrest each other, doesn’t mean law and order is breaking down. It is like in France where you see burning cars everywhere after a protest. What would be really bad and a clear indication of unrest somewhere else, is not far from normal in some places.
