You are absolutely right. Trump is first and foremost a showman, not a politician! He is used to playing to the public, using loud phrases, and his “personality” is, as you rightly said, a fake that was invented for a TV show. And for the western common man, unsophisticated in political games, it works!
Western politics has turned into a show where everything is decided by PR, loud slogans and manipulation of mass consciousness. And there are fewer and fewer real politicians who think about the people and not about ratings!
Now they're pulling their old comedians out of mothballs and trying to entice the audience with them! They think it will still make someone laugh, but it doesn't make anyone laugh anymore! It's just more proof that they have no new ideas other than exploiting old clichés!
