I just wanted to take the time to wish the world and citizens of the world and humanity a peaceful and happy International Day of Peace. I am a firm believer in the importance of peace and the importance of the huge dividend that peace pays to those of us who are fortunate enough to enjoy it. I think this is a good day of reflection on the importance of dialogue, being committed to finding peaceful and non-violent solutions to problems and preventing in what is in most cases the easily preventable astronomical costs of war and violence. So, my best wishes to humanity and citizens of the world and my hope for you is to enjoy peace and to never take it for granted.

The International Day of Peace ("Peace Day") is observed around the world each year on 21 September. Established in 1981 by unanimous United Nations resolution, Peace Day provides a globally shared date for all humanity to commit to Peace above all differences and to contribute to building a Culture of Peace.
