The PM's of Turkey, Pakistan & Indonesia are pro-actively inciting Muslims against Europe by targeting President Macron, his anti-terrorist measures & European values & civilisation more general.

At the same time Turkey has launched a military campaign against Greece & is behind Azerbaijan's war in Armenia.

@noemon

My mother told me the Turks and Greeks are always going at it with each other. I would trust the Greeks long before I ever trust the Turks. Officially, is the U.S. neutral? Given that Turkey has been courting the Russians, maybe the U.S. needs to start taking Greece's side in disputes with Turkey. Not sure if we have or not. But I know I would trust the Greeks long before I would ever trust the Turks. Honestly, I don't think I would ever trust the Turks.

I think what distinguishes these attacks from previous eras of Islamic terrorism is that these do not come as "a response to" some kind of ongoing action taken against these countries like for example the Iraq war.

There is no excuse.

There are PLENTY of crazies in the Middle East who fit the bill. And they will do it with a knife.

Both Austria and France has a massive Muslim population. But they have stupid leaders who are going after their a large chunk of population. These attacks are signs of how failed states they are going to become unless they don't change the way of doing politics.

Population projections indicate that both are going to be Muslim majority countries in 30 years. It is better to adopt Muslim friendly oriented policies in these countries.

The problem with Muhammad cartoons is that most of them are derogatory toward the Islamic faith. Macron should not have supported the freedom to draw, if he knows the sentiments being expressed by Muslims. It is no surprise that the French teacher's Muhammad cartoon class drew backlash in Europe. When your culture is mocked, it will provoke some roughnecks into taking action, which is not exclusive to Muslims. Another teacher is getting fired over "obscene" Muhammad cartoons in Belgium.

A Belgian elementary schoolteacher has been suspended for showing a caricature of the Prophet Muhammad while discussing the beheading of a French teacher who had used the same image, local media reported Friday.

The unnamed teacher, who works for Ecole No11 — Aux Sources du Gai Savoir, based in Brussels' Molenbeek district, was teaching pupils aged between 10 and 11.

Local media said the teacher gave students the opportunity to look down as they were shown one of the cartoons previously published by the French satirical magazine Charlie Hebdo.

Teacher faces dismissal
The newspaper Derniere Heure reported that the education authorities have launched disciplinary proceedings against the teacher.

A spokesperson for the Molenbeek's mayor said the punitive action was taken due to the explicit nature of the cartoon and not specifically because caricature of Islam's founder was shown.

"Our decision is uniquely based on the fact that these are obscene images. If it had not been of the Prophet we would have done the same thing," the spokesman said, adding that several of the children's parents had complained.

Muslim migrants are refugees are so fanatical. Europe shouldn't have accepted them in the first place. It is a hard task to integrate them into secular European society.

If you have same Muhammad cartoons in Turkey, you would only face some jail time. But nobody would attack you just because you draw cartoons.

Turkey is probably one of the worst Muslim countries.

Turkish Nobel laureate(Orhan Pamuk) gets jailed for saying: "'Thirty thousand Kurds and a million Armenians were killed in Turkey."

Hrant Dink was murdered for being an Armenian journalist in Turkey:

The Turkish government organised a pogrom against the entire Greek community of Istanbul in 1955, and then 50 years later another Turkish mob attacked the Istanbul gallery that showed pictures of the event in 1955:

Turkish nationalists vandalise Armenian genocide memorial in Lyon, France, 1 day ago, while Erdogan threatened France over a Hebdo cartoon depicting Erdogan, not even Mohammed but Erdogan:

Last week, Turkey vowed to take "legal, diplomatic actions" over a cartoon of Mr Erdogan that appeared on the cover of French magazine Charlie Hebdo.

The cartoon depicted Turkey's president lifting the dress of a veiled woman.

Bombs and drones are still going off and people continue to due every day in various Muslim-majority states, including Syria, Afghanistan, and Yemen. Also, the Iraq war hasn't ended.

This terrorist wanted to fight the West's war on Syria where the West along with its Salafi and Zionist allies, elevated groups like ISIS. Blowback is a bitch, huh.

skinster wrote:Of course it's blowback. The guy was inspired to join extremist groups elevated, if not created by Western terrorism, in this case Syria.

There are plenty of terrorists that are now extremely anti-west as well, and even if it is partially blowback, the west is not responsible for every bad thing a Muslim does. We did not create the backwards medieval culture that still exists in the middle east where a large number of Muslims agree with things like stoning for adultery. Unlike Christianity, Islam hasn't modernized or reformed at all, and they still want things like counter-crusades as they never advanced beyond the time where they fought Christendom. I think you have such a strong anti-west worldview that you see anything counter to the west as inherently good and benevolent.

Your Islamophobia is boring. So are your arguments against things I'm not debating.

Re: the Vienna story, this is blowback re: Western/Wahabi/Zionist war on Syria.

I don't know why people here keep thinking I care what they think about me. But thanks again for trying. Maybe you should stay on topic instead.

Anyway,

All religions are the same especially Buddhism.
All religions are different especially Islam.

No one in the West has wanted to treat Islam with any respect. Not the likes of Reagan or Bush senior, who imagined that militant Muslims could be recruited as useful idiots in their geo political struggles. Not the Hitler lovers who thought they could be useful idiots in their war against the Jews. Not the Neo Cons who thought that their conservative social mores could be used to create a new expanded Judaeo-Christian-Islamic social conservative electoral coalition that would put the tax cutting Zionists into power. Not the hard core so called "white Supremacist"s who were obsessed with morphological difference and had little real interest in getting embroiled in divisive religious conflicts. And not the Liberals or the Left, that always treat Muslims as innocent children devoid of any real agency as Muslims, as Islamic believers.

In the late nineties, later than a few of the most perceptive social commentators, but before 9/11, I came to the conclusion that Islam was a player. It was not going to just quietly die. it was not just going to quietly degenerate like Christianity into a form of newagy, politically correct quasi Buddhism. Islam's great weakness and its greatest strength is that it actually says something. With Islam, we are blessed or cursed, depending on your perspective to live in interesting times.

"Islamaphobia" is just a blanket term to shut down valid criticisms of Islam. It was once reserved for actual bigotry, but now the term is a meaningless buzzword.

No, I don't expect you to care. I'm sure others on this forum do though, as it is a valid criticism of your worldview and others on this form are going to be watching debates between two or more posters and making judgements.
