What I said in my previous post was exactly a "no" to this question.

I don't think any foreign country orchestrated this. The most damning comment I could ever say would merely "China's recent actions created an atmosphere for this to happen", but as many people say here, China probably is not happy to see this themselves.

Okay, this clarifies things.

Hong Kong is rather off-topic in this thread, so allow me not to continue this discussion. My only response is that your observation is fairly accurate.

Okay.

Then I suggest against mentioning Trump because from what I see he's irrelevant to the topic. Unfortunately, you unnecessarily mentioned him again a few posts later.

I don't *aim* to mention Trump's name, either here or in my personal life, but his particular foreign policy decisions *are* still relevant today -- warlike sanctions imposed on various countries -- and so we all have to deal with the history, however undesirable, that he's left on the world.

I assure you I won't *strive* to mention his name, and hopefully you'll be more careful with the comparisons that you ascribe to me.

Over 200 employees of the Central Bank of Myanmar, ranging from assistant directors to cleaners, were suspended for refusing to work under the military regime. Meanwhile, ten civil servants were sentenced Monday to prison terms for joining the CDM, including two young police officers and eight staff from the Cooperative Department in the capital city Naypyidaw.

Chinese factories burn in Myanmar as death toll rises:
https://www.afr.com/world/asia/chinese- ... 315-p57aue

Anti-Chinese sentiment has risen since the coup that plunged Myanmar into turmoil, with opponents of the army takeover noting Beijing’s muted criticism compared with Western condemnation.

While I don't think China is actually behind this, both China and the West have the blood of the fine Myanmar people on their hands. China for gleefully suppressing Hong Kong / Xinjiang and the whole country in general, while the West for not acting more decisively against China in the wake of these atrocities.

This gives the Myanmar military the idea that oppression can go unpunished as long as they are powerful.

Incidentally , I just recently saw this interview with a journalist , whom has had a first hand coverage of the situation .
By the way , as to what @Patrickov referred to , yes, the Chinese have been backing the United Wa State Army , according to both the above video @1:01:03 , and these articles . https://www.newmandala.org/china-wont-end-myanmars-conflict-with-the-united-wa-state-army/ , https://www.eurasiareview.com/23112019-chinas-enduring-influence-over-wa-state-in-myanmar-analysis/ , https://www.irrawaddy.com/news/burma/through-reclusive-wa-chinas-reach-extends-into-burma.html And on another note , as was also mentioned somewhat in the interview , the opium trade has also been a factor in the ongoing paramilitary violence . https://www.counterpunch.org/2017/12/01/the-us-opium-wars-china-burma-and-the-cia/ So basically , this is a situation of narco-terrorism .

The protests against the military takeover in Myanmar are essentially protests against Chinese imperialism manifested via the military junta.

China has historically been the military junta's in Myanmar one and only international backer.

SLORC came to power in September 1988 by commanding the Tatmadaw (Burmese army) to smash a nationwide democracy movement, which it did by gunning down more than 3,000 protesters in Rangoon and thousands more in smaller cities and towns. The latest UN Commission on Human Rights resolution criticized SLORC for “extrajudicial, summary or arbitrary executions, death in custody, torture, arbitrary and politically motivated arrest and detention, absence of due process of law, severe restrictions on freedom of opinion, expression, movement, assembly, and association, including portering for the military.” President Clinton’s order imposing sanctions against Burma cited SLORC’s “deepening pattern of severe repression” against the democracy movement.

The People’s Republic of China (PRC)—SLORC’s closest ally and primary diplomatic and financial supporter—has included $1.8 billion in military equipment for SLORC’s military modernization drive. The Tatmadaw aims to field a 500,000-man army, one of the largest in Southeast Asia.

AFAIK wrote:The Japanese support them as do the ASEAN countries.

Did you see when the protesters set fire to Chinese factories then trolled the embassy's facebook?

Normal countries support the protesters. China supports Myanmar's genocidal junta and that is why the protesters target the Chinese embassy.
