what EU/USA Free world ´d do in order to stop Putin even to think to Navalny in prison ?

"

"We ... spoke about the depressing situation of Alexei Navalny," the German leader told reporters after the talks.

"I have demanded once again from the president to release Navalny and I have made it clear that we will remain on the case," she said.

Putin rebuffed Merkel's remarks, while not identifying Navalny by name and referring to him only as the "subject".

Except Vladimir Aleksandrovich Zelensky appears to believe otherwise. And how can anyone blame Vladimir Aleksandrovich? Merkel is on her way out. Not to talk of the fact that it is inconceivable that any future German government will pull the plug on Nord Stream 2 after it comes online. Zelensky may pull it, if he can, but no German Chancellor will. Not for Ukraine. Not for the US

The Kremlin denounced Ukraine's Crimean Platform summit, attended by all 30 NATO member states, as "anti-Russian," the Associated Press reported.

Top officials from 46 countries were at Monday's summit convened by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy over Russia's annexation of Crimea in 2014. Russia's move to annex the territory is widely viewed as illegal. Meanwhile, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov criticized the summit as an event against his country.

Sorry @litwin. Merkel being on her way out is important. She can say what she likes and her predecessor still has a clean slate. Germany never gave up NS2 for Biden and they won't give it up for Ukraine. What will happen is Germany will keep Russia as a fringe partner and do their best to stay out of conflict with words rather than actions. Russia does very well supplying Europe, but they always act in a way that is beneficial for their state whatever the sanction imposed on will do to their economy and Germany will not give up cheap gas for any partner so any sanctions they might threaten will be weak anyway.

Also the Ukraine contract runs out soon and then Russia will have legality to bypass them completely and there is nothing you can do about that given that is capitalism for you.
