As an example from Estonia, we had the same issues but both sides managed to more or less come to terms that both sides committed atrocities and it is okay to remember the fallen ancestors irrelevant on which side they fought on. After all, we were stuck between two monsters and had relatively very few to say or do regarding the decisions. The situation is pretty similar in Ukraine.

So that is not much of an answer to my question then. The problem is that any society that was stuck between the Soviets and Nazis during WW2 will have problems reconciling both camps since Nazis and their sympathizers committed outright genocide and communists and their sympathisers while not on the same level still committed genocide or mass deportations.

My question was, what is your opinion on reconciling both sides? How is it going with that in Ukraine? This is directly related to your pictures and memes and propaganda because you are not trying to reconcile both sides and just aggravating the other side pushing them further away from Ukraine basically. And this not just applies to the territories already occupied by Russia and its proxies but also places like Odessa and Kharkov and so on basically the southern and eastern parts of Ukraine.

We are talking about people who are not in charge anymore. The eastern and southern parts of Ukraine are under Ukranian central governments control. So I am not sure what are you about here? Right now I was talking about people who might be either culturally or historically closer to Russian culture or the people in western Ukraine that might be historically closer to more right wing views lets say. This is a question of reconciling both sides so they can live peacefully, stabily and in a democratic society.

No it is not. Not even close. It has no cultural power, no economical power. Only has some military power and that might be enough to bully a couple of small countries in the area but as part of the world leadership and/or shaping economical and social policy, it is quite poor.
