Even old stories can amount to something. This one is from October 24 - only a month and a half ago.

And it did amount to something. It created a rift between Turkey and other more orthodox Western colonial nations that might develop into something in the short-to-medium term.

It would make more sense of Turkey (and Germany) to develop close relations with China and Russia instead of continuing to eat crumbs that fall off Goldman Sach's luxurious all-you-can-eat buffet table.

But Erdogan walked it back... c'mon you're better than this.

There has been growing tension with Turkey since the Eu didn't live up to it's promises. And Erdogan did flirt with Putin, but helping really isn't in Putin's DNA...

What would make sense would be for the West help Turkey deal with the expense of all those refugees. We really don't need another failed state in that region...

Turkey won't join China because they have to show solidarity with the Uighurs.

When talking about NATO, late wrote:... all those refugees. ...

NATO is primarily a refugee-producer.

So the flow of desperate refugees that all its aggressions cause... is bound to change political alliances eventually.

Perhaps Turkey is in NATO primarily to spy on the West and reveal its horrendous human rights record to the world.
