Lol no. They have tens of thousands of heavy soviet missiles at their disposal. Tochka-U and scud conventional style. These can level blocks and were designed to be fired in swarms of hundreds. And up to 40 supersonic super heavy bomber aircraft with hundreds smaller such aircraft.

You fail to grasp what you're dealing with. Maybe Russia will be forced to unleash its full power level. The west is that stupid. This is purely a war of conquest, base infrastructure and populations have to be preserved. Fewer civilians have died in 4 months of fighting than in a week in Iraq. Russia will grow legitimately larger.

I have always been against mass rapes. They just don't make any sense.

But I wasn't aware of the sexual angle of Russia's Operation Z.

I thought this was a military operation, but perhaps all military operations are mass rapes... as you say.

It's rather collective rape, a bigger and stronger collective trying to rape and subdue a neighbouring smaller and weaker one, although unsuccessfully this time, so it's been just the usual abuse/harassment/violence for a while. It's so classic as Russian literature. Russians are great collectivists, you know.

You can repeat Russia-Russia-Russia! all you want. But if military operations are mass rapes, then the West is the primary world rapist.

The list of countries that Rome, France, UK, USA have genocided, impoverished, or destroyed is long and relentless.

Ukraine's Nazi anti-Russianess is a Western project, like the destruction of Afghanistan (twice), the destruction of Iraq (several times in the last century) and of course, we are just waiting to destroy Venezuela, Cuba, Iran, North Korea, and a few other less-developed countries a fraction the size of our "alliance."

Mass rape? "Mass" seems to indicate "several countries as victims."

Sure, although you don't know much about Russia and don't even care actually, so you rather return to your well-charted West-bashing hipster domain of arguments immediately.

Why would I need to know a lot about Russia?

Russia has never overthrown the Canadian government in order to get a civil war going here to piss off a nuclear-armed USA.

Beren wrote:Sure, and why should you actually care? You don't need to do either to bash the West effectively anyway.

Has "the West" ever bashed Russia in a huge way? In world wars, let's say. Or by invading, let's say.

And if so, did this "bashing" change the course of Russia's attitude towards the West in any way?

Do you know anything about this bashing, or do you block half of the world's history in order to profit from the ignorance that ensues?

Ramzy Baroud wrote:While an alternative understanding of the devastating war in Ukraine is disallowed, the West continues to offer no serious answers or achievable goals, leaving Ukraine devastated and the root causes of the problem in place. “That’s US policy”, indeed.

Why would you care about anyone other than Canada and your own personal crusade of anti-western bashing?

Russia overthrew the government of Ukraine in 2014 by actively ordering its PM to u-turn from his own policy of negotiating and finalising a trade agreement with the EU.

Throughtout the years, Russia has overthrown several other governments directly and indirectly in Eastern Europe, Balkans, Middle-East and Asia.

What I definitely know is that whatever the topic or the theme is you play the same tunes anyway.

From a US-centric think tank. Its good info, but better be aware ;)

Assessing Russia’s War in Ukraine

"Following Russia’s unsuccessful initial invasion and attempt to seize the Ukrainian capital, Kyiv, the Russian military has reoriented its offensive to Ukraine’s east, attempting to seize the Donbas and annex portions of the country."

The main subject all agree to meanwhile is that the war will not stop until "someone" stops Russia.
Putin wants to install Russia as a world power again, at least in the borders of the cold war, and Ukraine is the first step.
Forget the "nato threat", forget "Nazis", forget all you may want to accuse yourself of for having made mistakes, it is all about "tsar Putin the great" and a dictator's conquest.
Any concession made by Ukraine for "ending" the war, if even cared for by Russia, will only be a short inter-war armistice, gving Russia the chance to fill up its military losses.

This is of course inconvenient for people who think they can go back to business as usual (like chancellor Scholz or président Macron) "after the war".
The sanctions do not work fast enough, it is necessary to further apply pressure. This will not work in time for this war, but Russia will run into problems in the coming years.

The economy (productivity and product attractiveness) of Russia never was great. Most people outside the bigger cities always lived under low standards, and were always treated like dirt by the ruling class.

"Putin does not care what the West thinks about him. And in case he gets replaced, it will be another dirtbag taking his seat and plundering the country and raping his neighbouring countries. Nothing new in the Russian theatre. Everything normal and as it always has been."

The Kremlin-loyal elites will go on living in luxury of course, maybe a yacht less and access denied to a lot of places, but compared to the average russian they will still live in relative luxury, with or without sanctions.
All that can be done via sanctions affects the ordinary people, who do not count in Russia.

Russia has mostly been "liberating" piles of rubble.

The difference is that Russia levels cities of 400k and 100k to the ground with 0 buildings undamaged and 90% can't be repaired. For all the shit that you can blame the West for, we are not even close to that level of brutality, reasoning, rape and slaughter.

So turkey has agreed to Sweden and Finland joining NATO.

I’ll help out our pro Russian posters here with posting on their behalf in advance:

Aussie Russian Caveman: Muahahaha, no matter, Russia stronk! We kill women and children in shopping mall, and NATO cannot react! Muahahaha! Look at map! Russia surround US & A from north, east and west! Soon, great russia conquer all world! Muahahaha!

Serbian peanut brained parrot: Finland and Sweden are Nazis. NATO has been killing women and children in the Donbass and drinking their blood for 208 years, 280 years! Where were all of you when they were killing women and children in dumb bass for 2080 years!?

Jungle troll from island somewhere in Mediterranean: america kills people. :)
