First of all, it's not a regime. It's management. More of this will be coming to Silicon Valley as the economy takes a shit and it already is.
Bad management? If you have half the workforce surfing the internet all day and taking care of personal business and not furthering the product, then that has to stop.
He and his auditors already uncovered that the BOTs were artifically borking the numbers. Those are actually lies. Then the shadow banning and all the other bullshit. That's called deception.
There's bad management, but there's also bad employees and those that work to jack up the overhead to fill seats. I've seen that first hand in government contracting and it also happens in the private sector.
Finally, how can you be creative with social media? Seriously. It's basically opinionating all day. In other words, it's a middleman. BTW, I'll bet there's very little coding going on, and that's what he's uncovering.
As much as you hate middlemen jacking up prices, Silicon Valley is where much of it happens. It's like google's whole model. They're so hated for it, they changed their name to Alphabet. Facebook rebranded to Meta. You think that's by accident or because of reputation? You hate insurance companies and consider them middlemen. You hate "banksters" and consider them middlemen. But an employee in Silicon Vally who has realistically 2-3 hours a week of work, and stretches it into 40 hours, as long as they continue social media soft politics and shut down dissent, it is like god-emperor to you. I'll never understand it.
If a person buys a car and 10% is the cost of paying social media middlemen, don't you think that would turn some consumers off? I'm very glad he's culling the herd. And yes, it's my selfish side too, which says "you've been dirty dealing for quite a while" for the left, and now it's their turn. Snowflakes gonna melt. You know about lights-out manufacturing, right?

But this ranting and shouting at people "work harder" is pretty much the dumbest form of project management, the "death March" (all too common). If your a talented coder why stay to work under a regime like this? They have options and they will take them. Coders are prickly lot and they will not stay to work under a regime that has no respect for people, Coders thrive when work is 'fun'.
Bad management (and this is very bad management) drives the employees who have options out, mostly the best ones. You want to keep good people work smarter not harder. Coders will put in big hours for things they believe in , in a good work environment, they often will even if not required. But medieval whip cracking is just dumb way manage coders. They will not respond well to this treatment, They actually start working less, I man you want an antipathetic uncaring workforce who putts in the absolute minimum this is how you get it.
Musk is conduction operations that only the most spinless , least creative, people with no good employment prospects elsewhere will actually stay long term.
