Not only can the police sue the people mentioned in the article, they could arrest and charge those people and send CNN a thank you nite for doing their job.

And so the question is : why do the police not do that?

It cannot be because these people are peaceful protesters.

About the Azkenazi invasion of Palestine in the 20th Century, wat0n wrote:They weren't trespassing, if anything, they were legal immigrants who bought their property...

They bought stuff, and they killed people, and they drove half a million people out of their own homes.

If you don't consider this trespassing, perhaps you only consider gentiles "trespassers," in which case, your real argument is that Jews don't have to follow the same rules as anyone else.

I think most of your spam in this thread confirms this.

Which makes you a racist, and this isn't a good look for either a political forum or a planet.

Unfortunately for your race-based and money-seeking worldview, the 19th Century is long gone, and the 20th is closing its eyes.

Victims can also sue them if the LAPD won't.

Of course one may then wonder if the lawsuits are likely to succeed or not.

Buying property is the opposite of trespassing if anything.

It is also not racist to buy property.

And no, I did not say Palestinians are trespassing either. Which is why I support the two state solution.

People who wanted to kill all the First Nations used to lip-synch the same thing to hide their profound racism. No one is buying your lies anymore, wat0n. You are going to have to kill people to force them to "believe" them now. (Oh wait, that's exactly what has been happening for 70 years)

It actually isn't because pro-Israel protesters are not assaulting police officers.

Nice red herring.

Except that they didn't...? They were quite explicit about wanting to get rid of the Indians.

@wat0n

You seem to be arguing that Zionist protesters are legally allowed to assault other protesters as long as they do not also assault police officers. And that this explains why the police continue to do nothing despite evidence of Zionist protesters attacking others.

Is this what you are saying?

Are pro-Palestine protesters legally allowed to assault pro-Israel protesters?

No, they are not.

Are Zionist protesters legally allowed to assault anti-genocide protesters?

No, they are not.

Yet the cops have not done anything about the many Zionist protesters who have done exactly that.

Have the cops arrested this pro-Palestine protestor, Lilith Habib, here filmed assaulting someone?

As On’s arrest does not refute the general trend of Zionist impunity, but instead shows how few people have been arrested, this Habib person also does not refute the general tendency of police to arrest anti-genocide protesters but instead shows how few people can be found who have avoided consequences for any protest of any type.

This is why many universities are calling the police to break up the occupied encampments: they're erecting metal barriers to control access to grounds that are public to all students, staff, alumni. What gives these students the right to erect barricades and control access to public parks of campus? If the pro-Palestine protestors just gathered and protested peacefully all day every day most universities wouldn't care. These same types of people are against border walls on the US southern border and they've set up a gated community on campus restricting access to whomever they please.

I have no idea what @wat0n is trying to argue now.

Perhaps I do not follow twitter enough to know how a random three second film says anything.

Anyway, this person whom @wat0n has villainized does not seem to have their real name in any media outlet, unlike the CNN article which mentions their actual names.

If the cops are also not following whatever paradigm @wat0n is using, they might also want to rely on real names like CNN does.

The protests gave been peaceful.

There is even an analysis testing that exact claim that has been discussed in this very thread.

Even if they're peaceful, they are blocking students, staff, alumni etc from public grounds on campus. They don't have that right, the campus belongs to all students etc. Do you think this is just and fair?
