Support for EU membership in Georgia is consistently around 80%. The pursuit of membership is enshrined in the constitution. Georgia Dream, the party that supposedly won the election (the European Parliament does not recognize the result), promised to pursue membership as well.

But this is all irrelevant. As it stands, Putin will probably invade Georgia if it gets too close to membership. As long as Putin is not defeated in Ukraine, democracy in Georgia hardly stands a chance.

Well this strange "president" has actually left without a fight once her successor was elected, despite saying until the end she would stay. She would leave but take legitimacy with her, she said.

I guess if you define "legitimacy" as "beloved by the US empire", then indeed. All traditional definitions of legitimacy dont apply though.

I guess this color revolution attempt by the west in Georgia has now officially failed. It was obvious it would likely fail for a while because all the errors that happened in Ukraine in 2014 have been avoided by Georgia.
