Which clearly shows..the man is either uncoscious and totally gassed...and therefore the sotires of "I am Saddam Hussein and I want to negotiate"...are full of shit.

Very smart of them to show a photo to contradict their version of events. Clearly he didn't fight...becasue they probably gassed him first.

It's probably blocked out so Mohammed Iraqi doesn't say "Hey, that;s Billy Jones, from Smallsville, Anystate. Let's go kill him for taking part in the capture."

Yes, I know this is likely why. I am just interested in knowing if the soldiers decided to take the time to take a quick publicity shot. Though, I am not claiming this was neccesarily the case. Meh, it's all a moot point anyway, like Comrade said:

That photo looks very suspicious ... as if his head is superimposed ... I could be wrong of course ...

I agree, he looks drugged ... or blinking and taking a breath in ... but who is to say?

As for the Saddam negotiate thing, that wasnt offical Pentagon stuff, that was some silly soldier who said it to some silly reporter and together they made it fact ... the Pentagon even said they have no proof of that happening and several times on CNN they said it never happened and was just rumor.

The story ends, it just ends.

Or...as the Kurds say...they captured Saddam 2 weeks before and than handed him over to the US for this photo-shot...in exchange for deals with the Kurds.
