Swiss Propaganda Research wrote: The Propaganda Multiplier

Image

It is one of the most important aspects of our media system, and yet hardly known to the public: most of the international news coverage in Western media is provided by only three global news agencies based in New York, London and Paris.

The key role played by these agencies means Western media often report on the same topics, even using the same wording. In addition, governments, military and intelligence services use these global news agencies as multipliers to spread their messages around the world.
...

This Swiss group has discovered that virtually all Western news comes from three sources: two of them are corporate entities owned by billionaires (hopelessly biased by design), and then there's the other one - AFP - which is owned by the French government (hopelessly biased now in favor of the same billionaire class but at least this one could be seized by a different kind of French Republic in the future).

...

Caitlin Johnstone wrote:Spot The Manipulators In Your Own Life: Notes From The Edge Of The Narrative Matrix

Image

The real underlying currency of our world is not gold, nor bureaucratic fiat, nor even military might. The real underlying currency of our world is narrative, and the ability to control it. Everything always comes down to this one real currency. If you look at what all these think tanks, NGOs, media outlets and grant making networks that billionaires pour their money into actually do, it ultimately boils down to controlling the dominant stories that people tell about what’s going on in their world.

If you want to understand how narrative management works in the world, pay attention to how it plays out in your own life. What are some popular narratives within your family, perhaps about one of your family members, that don’t reflect reality? What subjects are off limits in your immediate or extended family, and why? Who do you know that repeatedly spins narratives about the kind of person they are, or the kind of person you are? ...

In this article, Caitlin Johnson argues that the entire point of advertising, PR, policial campaigning, etc. is to lower the audience's self esteem and distort its ability to make rational choices, and that this manipulation - at the mass scale of commercial media - does harm at an equally great scale:

There are exactly zero babies in the mainstream media bathwater. It’s a propaganda network which manufactures consent for mass murder, oppression and exploitation, and it deserves nothing other than total obliteration. Toss it all out.

The main reason for Labour's electoral debacle is Corbyn himself by sitting on the fence on Brexit, not acting forcefully enough against anti-Semitism in the party and calling Hamas and Hezbolla "his friends". All the other issues are side issues.

Yes, saying nice things about bad guys is frowned upon in mafia media.

It's a level of social snubbing that mean-spirited high school girl cliques are very familiar with: "What? You talked with Kevin Fowler? He's such a geek! You're out of the front table in the cafeteria club!"

Imagine if international relations sunk to this kind of brainless social snobbery. (In some countries/cultures, they do)

Only a mafia scoundrel could find that poo-pooing of invented enemies-to-scorn a respectable level of international discourse. ("What? You said something nice about Assad?!")

And the reason why is that, to be in a mafia, all you really have to do is to be loyal to it. So it's important to define "who isn't in" and to exaggerate the importance of being "in" or "outside" (the gang). As a mafia insider, being inside is your most useful role. Which is why many mafia members have no useful skills.

Indeed. At least we agree that Hezbolla and Hamas are bad guys.
To call them "his friends" was not a wise thing to do for Corbyn.
That and Brexit was his undoing.

The "undoing" of Kevin Fowler was that his parents were too poor to buy him brand-name clothing. This provided the high school cafeteria hit-squad of pretty girls in trendy clothing with a scapegoat for their inner demons of adolescent angst.

What is your reason for needing all-encompassing "bad guys" to deflect moral arguments upon? What is your inner demon that forces you to demonize particular others?

You're not a member of a snotty Heather gang, are you? :eh:

Also, after watching the above trailer, try to imagine a world where Heathers control mass media. It would always feature geeks doing very bad things to hurt beautiful girls in trendy clothing who then triumph in the end.

Ill put it in a more simple way. either we kill and destroy them or they kill and destroy us.
we dont want those guys to have support from powerful countries thats why demonetization of Corbyn is so important we dont really care what is his stance on healthcare and education we dont give a fuck about the UK the only priority is that they wont meddle in our shit with their stupid "morals" or "values"

its difficult to undertand this position for someone who lives in the "western bubble" far away from any conflicts

but honestly if I lived in the UK I would never vote for him or any other candidate with strong socialist attitude
#15056141
It's not simply either you kill and destroy them or vice-versa. You went to their land, where they had lives and homes and land. You, from Ukraine, trampled on them, with a viciousness that's been going on for the last 70 years. They didn't come to you. My mum and the chip-shop she lives near are older than "Israel".

Also, spare the threats of meddling in elections. It's clear your state did in the U.K. and U.S. elections, Russiagate is merely a projection of the latter.

That which goes up, must come down. Happy 2020. :D

CBS admits crowded “New York” hospital was actually in Italy

the network misrepresented video of a crowded Italian hospital as being a New York hospital filled with coronavirus patients.

Last week, “CBS This Morning” showed the video in a segment about New York City.

Many observers flagged the mistake on social media.

According to Fox News, CBS issued a statement saying, “It was an editing mistake. We took immediate steps to remove it from all platforms and shows.”

At least they admit it was wrong. CNN and MSNBC would never admit it because they are definitely fake news.

Why so dumb?

Seriously, you are acting like a child.

Mika has been doing this for years, and she's been a consistent advocate for accurate, responsible journalism. She's been critical of Democrats when they shovel crap.

Ironically, if you place her comments in context, she's talking about Trump gaslighting America. Which is something you should avoid reminding people of as much as you can.

I've seen them correct a bunch of mistakes.

I haven't seen you admit the hundreds of mistakes you do. But I guess one side is supposed to follow all the rules, while your side follows the rules once a year or so, just so you can say you did.

Pharmaforum wrote:Google invests in UK vaccine pioneer Vaccitech

Google has invested £20 million ($27.1m) in a biotech firm spun out of Oxford University working on novel treatments which include a universal flu vaccine and a therapeutic cancer vaccine.

the Duran wrote:The Dark Truth About Fauci and Birx, Bill Gates And Globalist Elites

Gates has a lot of pull in the medical world, he has a multi-million dollar relationship with Dr. Fauci, and Fauci originally took the Gates line supporting vaccines and casting doubt on Chloroquine. Coronavirus response team member Dr. Deborah Birx, appointed by former president Obama to serve as United States Global AIDS Coordinator, also sits on the board of a group that has received billions from Gates’ foundation, and Birx reportedly used a disputed Bill Gates-funded model for the White Houses’ Coronavirus effort.

Gates is a big proponent for a population lockdown scenario for the Coronavirus outbreak.

So both Google and Microsoft's founder, are both invested heavily in the vaccine marketplace. For profit. And they both have a lot of sway over what information we get to see on our Internets.

the Hill wrote:Facebook unveils feature to combat vaccine misinformation
Facebook unveiled a new feature Wednesday in an effort to stop vaccine misinformation online, directing users to credible health resources when they search vaccines on the social media site.

Let me explain why this is propaganda-matic. "My company makes mouthwash, and I have instructed all the TV stations and Hollywood studios that I own - and that's all of them - to delete any incorrect information about mouthwash and how it can save millions of lives."

What are the "hundreds of mistakes" I do? Maybe one or two, but certainly not hundreds.
