If the Senate acquits Trump in the impeachment trial, some African Americans may interpret this as a “get out of jail” card if they are called on for jury duty. If white men in the Senate can ignore evidence against Trump, then they can ignore evidence against black people in “hoax” trials and return a non-guilty verdict against black defendants accused of crimes against white people.

It will be the OJ Simpson trial all over again, multiplied by hundreds.
