We are currently seeing laws being passed to restrict voting. This reduces the power in society of those who will no longer be able to vote.
There is zero evidence that could (or can) be presented in a court of law that there was more than a very few isolated cases of voter fraud in the 2020 election.

I wonder how the Repuds would feel about Trump and just his top 100 fellow conspirators were to be arrested and charged with treason. After all if no evidence is necessary to harm people now, why can't the Gov. do that?

If you think that being deprived of your right to vote, then how about someone takes your right to vote away?
Oh, now you don't like that idea. See, you think that that would harm you. And who needs evidence?

[/snark]

This is why actually having evidence that is of a nature that it can be presented as such in a court is so important. We need to keep this rule intact and not just throw it away without evidence.
