Yup! That's what we've had in the most recent speeches by President Joseph Biden and Mr. Donald Trump. Each has taken a mighty swing at the other. Both are titular heads of their political parties. Both, at this writing, are still standing.
The battle of words appears to be playing well with the followers -- the loyal bases, if you wish -- of each combatant. It's doubtful if it will change the vote of those in either camp or, for that matter, those still in the very small undecided category.
Meanwhile, there's lots of reportage and commentary to wade through. The battle cries have been taken up by apologists for each side. There may be more speeches ahead.
