I'm a member of Young Left, a non sectarian Marxist youth group operating in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. We're one of the founding organizations of the Rebel Youth Network, a coalition of several youth activst groups from different cities in Ontario that seeks to create a Canada-wide network of revolutionary youth groups. We are also members of the World Federation of Democratic Youth, a UN recognized body composed mainly of youth wings of Communist Parties and national liberation fronts. I'm also an ex member of the Communist Party of Canada.

I used to be a member of a Socialist youth-group, direct-action etc., but am no longer.

I occassionally now go to Anarchist get-togethers, concerts etc.

I live in the deepest depths of Canada's Texas therefore I doubt there would be any groups here to belong to even if I wanted to. I prefer to fight these fuckers one on one that's the Hitokiri way, ha! Although the environment does present more than a few opportunities when you are surrounded by nothing but neo-cons and social conservatives

I'd say that would be more like Canada's Kansas

Calgary, Alberta. There is no place more right than here, except Red Deer

Ah I live in Alberta as well, more precisely Canmore/Banff... the Albertan left wing commune.

Stay out of our bubble!

Holy necroposting. Why did you want to bring this back to life? :)
I don’t believe in joining organizations, but might support them temporarily. All organizations eventually place their own welfare above any purpose they claim to serve.

Have you figured out they're total bastards yet?

I would presume you have. I know you're still active here.

Yes, not in any party now. The Greens have pretty much been taken over by their right-wing faction lol

"Who says organization, says oligarchy. Historical evolution mocks all the prophylactic measures that have been adopted for the prevention of oligarchy."

The iron law of oligarchy asserts that rule by an elite, or oligarchy, is inevitable as an "iron law" within any democratic organization as part of the "tactical and technical necessities" of organization.

One of many things I spent my life figuring out just to find out someone else figured it out long ago. :)
I wonder if it makes a difference in understanding whether you read it or figure it out?

I don't think it matters as long as you really get it. There are very few prophets that get it intuitively and know it in their bones, most of us need it spelled out for us that all organizations and institutions tend toward corruption.

The striking surprise is that prophets of Israel were tolerated at all by their people. To the patriots, they seemed pernicious; to the pious multitude, blasphemous; to the men in authority, seditious.
