Ironically, prisoner may race for office, but may not vote.

Moreover, black may lend, but white may only borrow.

Good thing about being out-of-race is you don't have to practice. Practice is poor; e.g. inattentive. Theory is rich; e.g. vanity.

Southern culture is profoundly anti-democratic, and medieval. It is violently opposed to notions of equality; it defines freedom in a way that reflects the 'heritage'. Freedom is a zero sum game. You only gain freedom by taking it away from someone else.

I guess it makes sense if father is corrupt lawyer incriminating son on behalf of riches.
Then corrupt company lure son into "polarised openness" where freedom is inferior. (Think Exxon Mobil choosing between China and USA)
Then racial independence and maturity are sacrificed for sexual dependence and immaturity.
