Solar cells on fertile soil is immoral, because it takes the space needed to grow for example crops for feeding 8 Billion people. Best solution is to build the solar powerplants in the dessert.

Agrovoltaics are very much a growing industry. There are three methods, transparent panels tuned to wavelengths not used by plants, transparent focused panels that adapt to focus light onto panels and raised panels that are designed to shade and prevent burn/retain water.
