In the 80s they use to pay you to return the bottles and cans in an easier to sort out later manner at the local milkbar, supermarket or collection depot. Now they just tell you to throw it all in the same bin and magically it will get "sorted out later".
And Coca-Cola really should have gone back to the easier to wash and reuse Glass Bottles decades ago with a bottle return scheme restored. Regardless of their initial higher use of non-renewable metals and sand.
