I added all the pertinent data I could think of for the above.

The new system is being done by 2014: PAA SM-3 Cooperative Development Program. This new system is a joint U.S.-Japan development of a 21 inch diameter variant of the SM-3 missile, it is being equipped with cutting edge, on board and in house, AI Integration software- via satellite relay. What I have seen so far is impressive.
