Al Gore is a jerk, whatever. He makes his money shilling for the green movement. Dana Loesch is a smaller fish but she's just a typical Tea Party talking head. Not an original thought in her brain, typical regurgitation of talking points a hundred others have already said. Why does this matter?

Al Gore went way beyond "shilling" for the green movement. He practically re-invented it. Whether you like him or despise him, there's no getting around the fact that what he has done has elevated the national chatter about climate change. That in itself is a win.
