Writing on this Easter Sunday morning its good to remember the true origin of the Easter story.

Inanna-Ishtar's most famous myth is the story of her descent into and return from Kur, the ancient Sumerian Underworld, a myth in which she attempts to conquer the domain of her older sister Ereshkigal, the queen of the Underworld, but is instead deemed guilty of hubris by the seven judges of the Underworld and struck dead. Three days later, Ninshubur pleads with all the gods to bring Inanna back,

I do not believe that this story actually connects to the story of Christ. But I see that you are pointing out that three is significant. At least, though, we are not hearing about how "and Ishtar even sounds like 'Easter!'" or something.

Even if you think that it does, hundreds of millions (if not billion+) that celebrated Easter this year did it because of Jesus Christ.
