In a dream last night, a fascist militia storms Vatican City. The papal guards drop their halberds and surrender. The militia throw 12-foot-long black pikes at a building, which may be the Governor’s Palace. The dream suggests that the far right is mobilizing opposition to the social justice policies of Pope Francis.
