What do you mean?

In either case - anarchy or communism - there would be no state. The means of production would be available to all, and people would be free to self-actualise as they see fit. Other than disagreement about the road to this situation, young-Marx-communism and anarchy are indistinguishable. Obviously Marxism-Leninism, Stalinism, Maoism, Juche, social democracy, &tc. are radically different from anarchy.

Marxists believe in the state during the "transition period" from capitalism to communism. Anarchists do not believe in that. They need to be differentiated.

Some anarchists believe in using revolutionary violence to reach a state of anarchy.

Some anarchists believe in using peaceful means to reach a state of anarchy.

Some anarchists believe in using civil disobedience to reach a state of anarchy.

Some anarchists believe in using the existing institutions of democracy to reach a state of anarchy.

Do we really need labels for all of them? Marxians* don't have wildly different aims than anarchists. They certainly differ about how to get there (e.g. transition phase for orthodox Marxians, probably not for anarchists) but share a belief in a society without hierarchy - whether it be political, religious or class hierarchy.

*I have used this term trying to refer as closely as possible to those who follow exactly what Marx himself wrote, no less and no more; obviously Marxist-Leninists, Maoists, &tc. aren't looking at the same thing as anarchists.

You scored as a Anarcho-Capitalist
Anarcho-capitalism is perhaps more closely linked the libertarian tradition than anarchism as it favours a free market and a stateless society. Private businesses would replace the functions of the state. This form of anarchism is largely an American phenomenon and first emerged in the 1950s (although it arguably has its roots in 19th century individualist anarchism and classical liberalism). Key thinkers include Murray Rothbard.

Not surprising, really. I am proud of the "0%" on the Christian Anarchist bit.

Of course, I don't call myself an anarchist. Outside of academia, the word is still associated with chaos. Inside of academia, the term has been thoroughly reserved by the socialists--has been since the beginning. Even the term itself, "without rulers", is suboptimal--all persons have one ruler, themselves. Plus, it seems to me that the anarcho-capitalists waste far to much time debating the validity of their term, instead of things that actually matter. =P

What are you so proud of? The questions on religion are very straightforward, it's not like you beat the system.

Hey, I can pretend, can't I? =P

But yeah, they are actually fairly straightforward.

It leaves out individualist anarchism and mutualism.

Anyway here are my scores.

Anarcho-communists seek to build a society based upon a decentralised federation of autonomous communes and a moneyless 'gift economy'. The movement first emerged in the late 19th century and has had a large influence particularly in Spain, Italy and Russia. Key thikers include Peter Kropotkin and Errico Malatesta.

As always these tests are very restrictive and limited. It does highlight my general centre left(if I can use this term.) position towards decentralism and libertarianism.

Christian anarchism is one of the oldest anarchist philosophies, arguably dating back to the early Christian church. Christian anarchists emphasise non-violence and oppose the state as God is the only legitimate source of authority. Key thinkers include the Russian novelist Leo Tolstoy.

That's strange. You seemed to score pretty high on all of them (except for primitivism). Explain.

I'm not sure what primitivism is.

Edit: I think it's because I see nothing wrong with there being a division of labor and I don't think that civilization should be done away with.

Still, it would seem that the syndicalism and communism would keep your capitalism score from being that high.

Nah, my scores on syndicalism and communism could never keep my capitalism score down. Why? Because I was raised in a capitalist world and that environment affects me much more than any other ideas, because to me those are just ideas and concepts.
