I am still reading Debt, the First Five Thousand Years. I'm not going to finish it before it's due back to the library; so I will have to buy it.

It's terrific, I'm in the second chapter and it just keeps getting better.

But I have no idea how I am going to review it. In the beginning, there is a part about how we screw 3rd world countries so bad they are ravaged by disease, conflict and malnutrition. It's something I would love to have written, it's clear, concise and factual.

But I don't want to give you the impression that's it's a typical Left wing screed. It isn't.

Now he's talking about the founding ideas of economics, and the controversies surrounding them. Sounds boring, it isn't. You can tell he's headed somewhere really interesting, but I haven't got there yet.

This book makes me think, a lot. Frankly, that doesn't happen much.

But I'm a little worried I won't be able to do it justice when it is time to do a full review.

If you're an intellectual, this is a must read.
