Global debt must always increase. Only new debt can pay for old debt. Because of the interest there is always a shortage of money.
When debt stops growing markets crash and societies break down fast.

Looks like we are close because of central banks "printing" to keep it going for a little longer.

So how do we solve this?
The people at LaRouche have some interesting ideas. Glass Steagall and cooperation among the largest nations to cancel the financial weapons of mass destruction etc.

"Therefore, we have two questions here: Not only how to deal with the problem of the economy, but, how do we deal with the world economy as well. Because we have to maintain stability among key nations. I have picked out four nations, as absolutely crucial, that they must cooperate, because with their cooperation, and with that of others who join them, it will be possible to take reorganization of the world economy, by eliminating financial derivatives—just cancel them; they're worthless paper, cancel them. Go back to the honest debt of nations, go to a commercial banking standard, and create new credit to replace the worthless old debt. By creating new credit, and launching physical production programs, in infrastructure and other terms, we could, by agreement among nation-states, prevent a general collapse, and actually launch a program of orderly recovery. And these problems that we now face could be solved."

The same criminal bankers sponsor WEF. To stay in control over finance when the system they created implodes they suggest individual carbon credits, social credits and lots of surveillance.

Disgusting.

There are better solutions than fascism/communism of course.

"World Economic Forum pushes digital ID system that will determine access to services

The digital ID system proposes monitoring online behavior, purchases, biometrics, and more.

The WEF suggests that this data collection dragnet would allow a digital ID to scoop up data on people’s online behavior, purchase history, network usage, credit history, biometrics, names, national identity numbers, medical history, travel history, social accounts, e-government accounts, bank accounts, energy usage, health stats, education, and more.

Once the digital ID has access to this huge, highly personal data set, the WEF proposes using it to decide whether users are allowed to “own and use devices,” “open bank accounts,” “carry out online financial transactions,” “conduct business transactions,” “access insurance, treatment,” “book trips,” “go through border control between countries or regions,” “access third-party services that rely on social media logins,” “file taxes, vote, collect benefits,” and more. Yup. Exactly.

Don't mind them, they're just being smart-asses -- it's basically this way, anyway, more succinctly termed 'bourgeois society', and how-much-do-you-want-to-get-in-it.

Do you think that the members of the WEF or the 1% realize how similar all that seems to the power that Big Brother has is "1984"?

Yes, most of it is already happening now. People don't pay enough attention to the need to use cash for discrete purchases.

I saw a report about how Amazon upset some customers by sending them ads to buy things based on what they had bought. In 2 cases it was because they were pregnant and Amazon offered them baby things which told their parents that fact.

Eliminating cash is a terrible idea. Privacy is important. Right wingers know this about registering guns. It applies to many other things. Laws can be changed as we are seeing now about being pregnant in red states.

It's not only "Right wingers", as you put it. Libertarians and those who care about civil liberties also believe the same thing. Not all of them are "on the Right".

How's that going for *Europe* so far -- ?

And:

The eurozone crisis was caused by a balance-of-payments crisis, which is a sudden stop of foreign capital into countries that had substantial deficits and were dependent on foreign lending. The crisis was worsened by the inability of states to resort to devaluation (reductions in the value of the national currency).[3][4] Debt accumulation in some eurozone members was in part due to macroeconomic differences among eurozone member states prior to the adoption of the euro.

This sounds like a common basket-of-currencies, to even everything out.

But what if the component economies just become too *disjointed* from each other for any common credit agreement among nation-states to really work-out, like Europe there in 2012 -- ?
