To go a bit deeper into the issue than in the previous post:

If I was a fascist leader, I would hire a bunch of priests to beat me with long sticks whenever they believed my policies were too pinkish or brave-new-worldish.

This "ADHD" drug-thing in the schools, the rampant alcohol-consume... Priests and bishops are one of several allies in the fight against it.

And after a few beatings, I would be too afraid of gods wrath to ever flirt with pinkish-liberalism again.

A good alternative to this scenario, is off course that the fascist leader is religious to begin with.
