Its hard to tell, after all, you did insinuate that I was careless and irresponsible without basis.....so nothing would suprise me.

I'm in the middle of several conversations on here that have been going on for several pages on this thread; I don't need to justify anything to him and he needs to mind his own business, if he thinks discussions need to be removed from this thread, he is more than willing to appeal to the moderation team to have them removed or transferred elsewhere.

It's not like conversations between him and myself ever go anywhere constructive anyway.

@Victoribus Spolia what is more careless and irresponsible than having more children purely for the sake of having them?
#14993932
Godstud wrote:Making your kids pay for their own education is an increasingly difficult thing, too.

Its the best thing to do in my opinion, it saved my life in all honesty; that and getting married young.

That being said, education being overpriced is hardly a reason for me to pay for it, its all the more reason to seek alternatives in light of diminishing returns.

So long as my kids are intellectuals; whether they have letters behind their name as I do is quite irrelevant. The trades are becoming increasingly better options. After all, one of the toughest intellectual opponents I ever faced was a plumber who never went to college.

That is just a repeating of your initial claim, you have yet to explain why this would be careless and irresponsible.

That being said, I would not say I am having kids just to have them. I am having kids because its natural, rational, enjoyable, and with the proper education and training will increase the world with decent people (of which we are increasingly in short supply).

Having a few extra farm hands and the fact that I enjoy unprotected sex doesn't hurt either.

Yes, this is the primary thing in my opinion, increasing the citizenry of the City of Heaven. To think that I just uttered what would have been a tautology centuries past but is considered madness now...

Indeed, agree 100%.

It's why I posted the thread that I have; ''raising the black flag in an age of devilry'', because it serves as an indictment and a warning, that what has happened (in essence) is the creation of a new species of mankind, with a fundamentally different ethics, cosmology, spirituality, and even geopolitics than every single human being, good or evil, that has ever lived since before the 1000's AD.

Mind you, that a thousand years does not seem so long to me, lol, history-wise.

Besides, universal health care has positive externalities. This is an economic term, and I invite you all to teach yourselves about it.

One of the positive externalities of universal health care is the herd immunity created by widespread vaccination.

Because of this, even anti-vaxcers can have healthy children.

Now, an ancap who knows their stuff would say that the anti-vaxxers are just free riders who benefit from a system that they may not pay into, and that this would actually be a failure of the universal system. Hoqever, the benefits in terms of lower sick days and less medical treatments.

Everyone benefits from universal health care.

Yes, I am actually subscribed to your thread and have been following it and am hoping to find time to post some extensive posts (possibly next week), but after losing my job I feel as if I have less time. I have taken two part-time jobs, am building my house, am taking a full-load for my doctorate, starting a podcast, and just got finished tapping the maple trees for syruping and just ordered hogs to raise to butcher this fall. Lastly, I just helped my old man install a kitchen and put a new floor in his "computer room."

I don't know if I am coming or going.

Don't even get me started on my youngest boy doing potty training. :knife:

Hoping to have him poopin' on the pot before the new one(s) is here in May. Shoot up a prayer for me will ya pal?

I'd appreciate it.

Hey, you're on my short ''candle list'' as it is my friend :)

Trust in God. Besides, we are witnessing something glorious in our day which will need much later reflection in the future; you and I can see the end of this matter, and so can they.

Absolutely. All shall be made to see.

Did you see the PJW video on the end of western civilization on youtube? It was quite enjoyable.

You're most welcome!

No, as to the video, but I'll have to since you mentioned it :D

Saw the video, very true.

Teach your children metallurgical/blacksmithing skills, to locate metals and shape them into useful tools, armor, and weapons when the guns and bullets run out.

if you add some chemistry skills you could make your own bullets, the magic ingredient gunpowder, or better still cordite, isn't even that hard to make when you know how. The ingredients aren't that hard to source either.

All the same, it's going to be craft work handed down by a few, back to 15th-16th century in that respect. Most won't have the skills or the inclination.

Sure, but anyone that does have those skills will likely want to sell the products created thereby.

Yes, that will continue to be the case, but we probably won't be able to foresee much in the way of sophistication. Outside of the former First World, there will likely be even less such.

You guys should really visit Cuba.

It is a country entirely populated by people who have been cut off from a lot of the goods and services we take for granted in the west, and can still run a modern society that proivdes universal health care for its citizens.

If the eschatological lights went out, they would probably figure out how to run refrigerators off old cars fueled by rum, and still provide universal health care.

I don't want to visit Cuba. I don't trust socialists. But I would be happy if you would move there to get your socialized healthcare and stop bugging us in the U.S.A.
