Last week, the Trump administration broadened its effort to unravel the Affordable Care Act by arguing that the entire law should be invalidated. If that happened, at least 20 million people could lose their health insurance.

Americans borrowed an estimated $88 billion over the last year to pay for health care, according to a survey released on Tuesday by Gallup and the nonprofit West Health.

The survey also found that one in four Americans have skipped treatment because of the cost, and that nearly half fear bankruptcy in the event of a health emergency.

Not to worry. Yesterday we got a promise you can ……………. bet your life on:

“The Republicans are developing a really great HealthCare Plan with far lower premiums (cost) & deductibles than ObamaCare,” the president wrote in a string of three tweets posted Monday night. “In other words it will be far less expensive & much more usable than ObamaCare. Vote will be taken right after the Election when Republicans hold the Senate & win back the House.” D.Trump

He'll cut health care and never replace it.

You know, I keep hearing young people say (or being told) they won't do as well as their parents and family seniors. Now, pre-retirees are losing healthcare as previous Trumpian policy changes have either priced them out of the market or ....

When I look at my family's income, each generation gained wealth from their forebearers, and that included savings and homes. But every night I see ad after ad coolly assuring seniors they can gain income by selling their insurance or getting money from their banks on the semi sale of their homes. It's a shame people don't understand this will put the stamp on the younger kids losing bigly.

Breaking news.

President of the United States of America Donald Trump has pushed off any action on health care until after the 2020 elections.

With luck, he'll not have to deal with his numerous 'promises' by then.

And, what -- people are just going to have a conversation with their cancer: "Hey, malignant cancer tumor. It's not convenient for the President to propose a replacement plan. He must have control of both branches of Congress. So just stop growing until Trump feels like coming up with a plan."

How can anyone support this man? He is so very obviously lacking in any remote semblance of decency, competence, honesty, integrity, or compassion.

“No one ever went broke underestimating the intelligence of the American public.”

Trump tweeted. “Republicans will always support pre-existing conditions!”

Uh-Oh …….. that pretty much clinches it. Unless you Dump Trump you are dead if you have cancer and no health insurance.

Hey, why is Obamacare even a thing? Wasn't one of his biggest promises to repeal and replace it? :?:

@jimjam

Do you think Trumps new plan will cover for the treatment of TDS,
Trump Derangement Syndrome ? :D

Nope its a tie between " every American will save $2000" and "you can keep your doctor". I still haven't seen that two grande yet.

In August, a group of 10 Republican senators introduced a bill with a title designed to neutralize criticism that Republicans don’t care about pre existing conditions. It’s called Ensuring Coverage for Patients with Pre-Existing Conditions. The bill adds an option for companies to deny certain coverage if "it will not have the capacity to deliver services adequately."

Translation: "Our insurance will cover your pre existing condition unless we don't want to."

@Finfinder Trump made the promise to repeal and replace the ACA. He's the current president, not Obama. Get a clue.

Easy. Consider the alternatives.

He's right at home in Washington, DC then, isn't he?

Are you capable of this, or am I expecting too much from you?

Now it seems like his biggest promise was the wall, his twitter is full of it.

Healthcare? It's the wall that matters! :knife:

@Finfinder So you have nothing. Right.

Incidentally, that's not an insult. It's merely a suggestion that you inform yourself, since you don't have an argument.

TRUMP IS MY PRESIDENT!

President Donald Trump promised a new plan to replace Obamacare. But the four Senate Republicans he tapped for the job aren’t jumping at the opportunity.

Sen. Rick Scott (R-Fla.) says any new plan has to come from the White House — and that he had no warning Trump planned to make him part of the health policy group. Mitt Romney (R-Utah) won't say more than he and colleagues are “working on health care thoughts.” John Barrasso (R-Wyo.), when asked about the Republican plan, turned the question back on the opposition, saying, “Democrats want to go to the complete government takeover of health care.”

And Sen. Bill Cassidy (R-La.), the fourth member of Trump’s team, hasn’t committed to anything more than “conversations with colleagues” about health care affordability.

Sounds like we will have Donald's "really great" health care plan ready by 2020  .

As an aside: McCain's revenge came in 2017 when he torpedoed Republican efforts to repeal and (maybe) replace Obamacare in response to Captain Bone Spur's moronic comments/insults to McCain's military service. Damn! What a deal maker that Donald  .

:D You cutting and pasting what I said from different times and in different context isn't an argument. You've exposed nothing, except your inability to form a coherent argument, or your ability to troll mindlessly.

But Obama caused the problem, otherwise, there would be no need to fix it. And Obama lied when he said, "You can keep your doctor." Obama also lied when he said, "if you like your healthcare, you can keep it."
#14998238
Trump lied. He said he'd repeal and replace it. They're both liars then, aren't they?

There's enough evidence available by now regarding the statements of President of the United States of America Donald Trump for some conclusions to be drawn.

The first is that his statements can be safely ignored by all except those he fires.
