Newsweek just reported that a study published in the journal Nature found that the replenishment of new coral in Australia’s Great Barrier Reef, one of the true natural wonders on our planet, “fell by a staggering 89 percent following two severe mass bleaching events in 2016 and 2017, which were caused by significant spikes in water temperature. The two bleaching events were the worst in recorded history, leading to a catastrophic die-off in many regions of the 3,800 individual reefs that comprise the world’s largest reef system.” Your grandkids may never see a real coral reef. Trump couldn’t care less. Do you?

Is solar energy stable enough (especially in higher latitudes or areas that are prone to clouds, rain or storm)?

Also, does solar energy rely on highly skilled workers, which Trump enablers are probably too inferior (?) to become?

Are these questions leading to an argument? If so, you should research the answers to these questions and then pit them into a rebuttal of solar energy, if that is the idea.

You can see my latter question slightly derogatory to Trump enablers.

Technically I don't think he is wrong, but politics is about people, and that involves inferior people if their votes are counted as equals.

Therefore, making a technically correct point sometimes does not help matters. One needs to take the people who are against one's ideal into consideration in order to ensure their point is as flawless as possible.

As I say over and over, the best path to the truth is to follow the money. Recently the Pinkerton Detective Agency has been gearing up to cash in on the chaos that is sure to follow global warming. These guys are not politicians like Trump who are in the pocket of, among other pockets, the fossil fuel industry. These are capitalists looking for money making opportunities. They respond to facts, not political talk shows on Fox Fake News. This is the free enterprise system at work.

According to the World Bank, by 2050 some 140 million people may be displaced by sea-level rise and extreme weather, driving escalations in crime, political unrest and resource conflict. Since 1980, a period that includes all 20 of the warmest years in recorded history and 18 of the 20 most intense hurricane seasons in the satellite era, losses in the United States from storms, wildfires and droughts topped $1.6 trillion — nearly a third of which occurred in just the last five years. After Hurricane Harvey, Pinkerton found clients were frustrated and open to alternatives. “Most clients were not prepared enough, An insurance policy is just a piece of paper.” During the 2017 hurricane season, the Pinkertons chartered half a dozen planes across the Caribbean, each of them full of food and under armed escort, to the tune of around $100,000 each. By the end of the season, after Maria, Harvey and Irma, the company billed tens of millions of dollars.

It looks like the people are taking to the streets in an effort to deal with global warming to fill in the gap left open by politicians owned by the fossil fuel industry. Here we have a picture of an extremely dangerous global warming related protestor being removed in London. Every so often, as in Vietnam and other issues that our paid off "leaders" are paid to ignore, the people need to step in to fill obvious gaps.

MAN-CAUSED GLOBAL WARMING: THE GREATEST SCAM IN WORLD HISTORY

Politicians are pouring hundreds of millions in taxpayer-funded grants to unethical scientists to keep the global warming scam going.

The world’s leading scientists will warn the planet’s life-support systems are approaching a danger zone for humanity when they release the results of the most comprehensive study of life on Earth ever undertaken.

Up to 1m species are at risk of annihilation, many within decades, according to a leaked draft of the global assessment report, which has been compiled over three years by the UN’s leading research body on nature.

The 1,800-page study will show people living today, as well as wildlife and future generations, are at risk unless urgent action is taken to reverse the loss of plants, insects and other creatures on which humanity depends for food, pollination, clean water and a stable climate.

The political environment is changing in some countries due to overwhelming scientific evidence and increasing public concern about the twin crises of nature and climate, which have prompted more than 1 million students to strike from school and led to street protests by Extinction Rebellion activists in more than a dozen countries.

Sounds like more fake news to me.

Mismanaged waste is causing hundreds of thousands of people to die each year in the developing world from easily preventable causes, and plastic waste is adding a new and dangerous dimension to the problem, a report has found. About 8m tonnes of plastic waste are dumped into the seas each year, according to the UN, and there are few ways of retrieving it. Among the other harmful impacts of plastic pollution in poorer countries are the loss of fishing, as marine animals ingest the plastic; damage to agriculture, as up to a third of cattle and half of goats in developing countries have consumed significant amounts of plastic, harming their health as it leads to potentially fatal bloating; and large amounts of plastic waste washing up on shorelines and coral reefs deterring tourists, on whom many poorer countries rely.

We can't clean up the whole world, or provide them a living wage, free medical care, and education.
We are already $22 trillion in debt from stupid trade and war polices by past administrations.
We need a genius, like Trump, to turn that all around, but the Democrats are too stupid to realize that and try to stop him.

So what do you propose to do? This isn't a problem in the United States, but could be attributed to trading with countries that have no or poor environmental policies.

The US has no jurisdiction in Mumbai, India. However, we could impose tariffs on trade with India, providing relief when they demonstrate effective policies. What do you think of that?

Air pollution may be damaging every organ and virtually every cell in the human body, according to a comprehensive new global review.

The research shows head-to-toe harm, from heart and lung disease to diabetes and dementia, and from liver problems and bladder cancer to brittle bones and damaged skin. Fertility, foetuses and children are also affected by toxic air, the review found.

The systemic damage is the result of pollutants causing inflammation that then floods through the body and ultrafine particles being carried around the body by the bloodstream.

Air pollution is a “public health emergency”, according to the World Health Organization, with more than 90% of the global population enduring toxic outdoor air. New analysis indicates 8.8m early deaths each year – double earlier estimates – making air pollution a bigger killer than tobacco smoking. Prof Dean Schraufnagel, at the University of Illinois at Chicago and who led the reviews, said: “I wouldn’t be surprised if almost every organ was affected. If something is missing [from the review] it is probably because there was no research yet.”

“The best way to reduce exposure is to control it at its source,” said Schraufnagel. Most air pollution comes from burning fossil fuels to generate electricity, heat homes and power transport.

I call these things "weather bombs" and they represent how global warming is being manifested. You won't particularly feel any warmer but global warming is disrupting the upper level jet streams from their usual patterns. This will result in increased clashes between hot and cold air and their resulting "weather bombs" occurring with greater frequency. This result we can see today. Rising sea levels resulting from artic melt will take a bit linger to become obvious. Global warming deniers have already been relegated to the back of the class room to be seated next to the flat earthers. They will, predictably, say that "weather bombs" have always been with us. This is true. It is also true that they are becoming more frequent and harsher. In the matter of weather, I prefer to go with factual data rather than the fossil fuel lobbyist financed hot air emanating from Republicans and "conservatives".

JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. — Much of the central United States braced Friday for another day of nasty storms, raging floodwaters and the potential for powerful tornadoes as residents across the region nervously watched river levels rise.

The severe weather will race from Texas to the Great Lakes region on Friday, bringing with it fierce winds, hail and potentially more tornadoes in a region that has found itself fighting multiple crises through a waterlogged, miserable spring. Three people died in Golden City, Mo., when a tornado roared through the rural town on Wednesday. Overall, seven people have died in the storms this week.
