If you are an illegal alien, an illegal alien exploiter, a debt-riddled college student with a worthless degree in Women's Studies or something, perhaps.

The Liberals are going to get a tremendous beat down in the upcoming 2020 US Presidential election, and all they can do is double down on their stupidity caused by ideological blindness and a personal aversion not only to Donald Trump but also to the people who voted for him.
It's still over a year to November 2020, but it's really starting to look that way. Unlike 2016, the 2020 race will have the Democrats running the most left wing they have run since '68 and '72. Most of their effort is to appeal to illegal aliens, debt-riddled millennials, and leftist minorities who prefer welfare to work.

I find it kind of bewildering in the sense that they are doing nothing to address why they lost in 2016.

Fox, CNN, C-SPAN barred from live coverage of South Carolina 2020 convention
This seems like a mistake to me. Why don't they want live coverage? Maybe they are anticipating a 1968 Chicago-style fiasco?
BigSteve wrote:But their problem is they're saying nothing else. The Democratic platform seems to be nothing more than "We're not Trump", and that's not going to be enough.
I'm hearing rather more extreme positions like:
- Green New Deal
- Student Loan Forgiveness
- Eliminating ICE
- Decriminalizing Illegal Immigration
- Wealth Taxes
- Eliminating Private Health Insurance and Replacing it with Medicare
Almost everything they are saying is obviously not feasible and is essentially screaming, "We will not do anything for blue-collar workers."
BigSteve wrote:People vote with their wallets. Our economy is smokin' right now, and unemployment is at record lows.
That's how it's really looking. Trump hasn't been successful on a repeal of ObamaCare and on building the wall. However, he has stimulated the economy to the point that jobs and low unemployment are an issue he can win on rather easily.

I thought you loved Lyndon Johnson? The US cannot have socialized medicine until this fascist policy is removed.
jimjam wrote:For Obese Donald's beloved "uneducated" this means that capitalism is actually against the law when dealing with Big Pharma billionaires.
Trump actually ran against big pharma. He hasn't done too much to them yet, but he's still talking about it.

Generally, the US will have to get serious about helping the drug addicted. That means more halfway houses, sober living facilities, etc. It will definitely not mean just giving away housing. It will also involve doing something about letting the mentally ill run loose, which was popularized in the 1970s.
From what I hear from people so far, the Democratic Party side's viable candidates look like:
1. Joe Biden
2. Kamala Harris
3. Pete Buttigieg
We still have a pretty long way to go to narrow down the field, and someone from the pack could still come from behind. We'll just have to wait and see. The most viable person to win back white working class voters is Biden. Harris will lose them for sure. Pete "Booty Judge" Buttigieg will alienate evangelicals. It will certainly be interesting.
"We have put together the most extensive and inclusive voter fraud organization in the history of American politics."
