Exactly.

Godstud is so enveloped by his hatred for Trump that if Trump walked on water, Godstud would criticize him for not knowing how to swim.

People like Godstud; those devoid of any applicable real world experience, are easily dismissed...

I have far more business experience than some ex-army guy with no applicable real world experience. Losing money is not a sign of a good businessman, either. I am not sure where you got this stupid idea from.

It is not the losing of money that makes one a good businessman; it is knowing what to do about it.

Maybe from Elon Musk. All of the enterprises he runs lose money; yet, personally he seems to be doing just great. Bezos rarely turns a profit at Amazon and sometimes shows losses and he is the richest man in the world. That's kind of interesting isn't it?

Musk sold his profitable businesses and his current ones are still in the growth phase. Amazon makes more profit every quarter than Trump's net worth.

Trump's business success is based on self-promotion (i.e. the Trump brand), which I admit he's pretty good at, at least with an American audience. In a normal society Trump wouldn't be rich nor president. Instead he would spend his last days in a mental health clinic, screaming "Trump! Trump! Me! Me!" .

And to whom are you referring?

Where did you get the stupid idea that people who start and run successful businesses never lose money? If that's what your "business experience" tells you, you haven't been in business...

Gentlemen, please. Godstud has no use for facts. They only fuck up his fantasy world...

What makes you think PayPal was making so much money? PayPal was taken public and then purchased by EBay. "Growth phase" doesn't mean profitable. Companies like Tesla have lost copious amounts of money. Godstud's comment was that successful entrepreneurs don't lose money. Most startups lose money. Uber and Lyft are game changing companies and both lose torrential amounts of money and have gone public. Godstud just made a stupid remark, and was called out on it by people who know quite a bit about business.

I've posted sources. You guys haven't posted fuck and all, so you saying you know anything about it, is hilarious.

None of you guys know anything about business. You're making up BS to support an idiot. Consistently losing money is NOT the sign of a good businessman.

Making much more money than one loses is a sign of a good businessman.

Analysts say it’s not just the direct impact of the ("easy to win" ) trade war hanging over the economy. In addition to the inverted yield curve, they see other scary warnings. “Three out of the five economic indicators (auto sales, industrial production, and aggregate hours worked) which track the business cycle closely are near levels consistent at the start of the previous recessions,” the Bank of America analysts wrote.

How can any of us pretend to be surprised that a former game show host, multiple bankrupt sitting in the White House has laid waste to the world economy?

It is not surprising that the world economy is starting to look like an Atlantic City casino going bankrupt. Once chaos has been unleashed into the global economic system, it can be hard to reel back in.

How many of his businesses have filed for bankruptcy?

Isn't the the Trump Organization comprised of over 500 companies? That seems to be the most reported number. And six have filed for bankruptcy? That's roughly 1.2% of his businesses.

According to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, about 20% of all businesses fail in their first year.

I don't know what you consider successful, but six out of over 500 sounds like a ridiculously positive track record to me...

6 of his major businesses file for bankruptcy and you think it's insignificant?

Yeah, you're not a Trump zealot..

Those are just scare tactics to get people to blow their money on gold and silver.

The six businesses were all casino/resort operations, and it's not like other casinos were thriving. The Atlantic Club Casino Hotel, the Showboat Atlantic City (owned by Caesars Entertainment Operating Co.) and the AC Revel Casino all closed around the same time frame, primarily due to the other casinos which were opening around the northeast.

Pennsylvania granted six casino licenses in 2006 alone. Northeasterners don't really go to Atlantic City for casino action anymore. Now they're more apt to go to Foxwoods or Mohegan Sun.

But only six out of 500 businesses? I'm not a zealot, I'm just not stupid. That's a ridiculously successful track record.

I know you have to hate Trump but, for God's sake, be smarter about it...

You most certainly are a zealot, and you sure as hell don't have to be stupid about it.

Ad hominem returned. :D

I know what successful business looks like. Given Trump's start, he should be well over $10 billion mark, after almost 50 years. :knife:
