Differentiating Alt-Right/Contrived-Cooked up stuff from Real Conspiracies - Politics Forum.org | PoFo

Wandering the information superhighway, he came upon the last refuge of civilization, PoFo, the only forum on the internet ...

Theories and happenings too odd for the main forums.

Stemming from a comment on the 'longest thread'.

There are 'contrived' conspiracies and so called planted evidence trials, false flags; purposely designed to mislead folks..

..And then there are genuine conspiracies, and possibly real things to be worried out.

The biggest open conspiracy I know about, is Scientologists in the Metropolitan Police. It's widely reported and factual.

Then there's obviously the CIA drugs programs in the 60s...they weren't fake.

What other conspiracies are 'verified true'?

There's a good element of truth in even the wildest conspiracy theories. Take chemtrails for example, there's obviously not a covert global ariel spraying campaign happening but back in the 50s and 60s Western governments did spray large swaths of their territories including major population centers with various biological and chemical substances:

In the mid-1950s, and again a decade later, the Army used motorized blowers atop a low-income housing high-rise, at schools and from the backs of station wagons to send a potentially dangerous compound into the already-hazy air in predominantly black areas of St. Louis.

[...]

The Army has admitted only to using blowers to spread the chemical, but Brindell recalled a summer day playing baseball with other kids in the street when a squadron of green Army planes flew close to the ground and dropped a powdery substance. She went inside, washed it off her face and arms, then went back out to play.

Over the years, Brindell has battled four types of cancer -- breast, thyroid, skin and uterine.

@Sivad

The problem is that this stuff gets subverted by nasty people with an agenda, and used to push their agenda.

In my humble opinion, the alt-right does this all the time; the 'alt-left' have started doing it too and it pains me to say that, but it's true.

How do we differentiate, when things are so cleverly worded and wrapped in guile and with deepfakes and shit flying around...

That's just life, I'm not gonna shy away from the facts of reality because some cranks and liars are gonna twist them for their own purposes. And it's not like conspiracy theories are a major problem, who gives a fuck if some people believe the government is spraying them with morgellons or whatever. I'm more concerned with the heinous fucking babbittry that protects the corrupt power structure and advances the agenda of the criminal establishment. If anything conspiracy theories mostly serve as a check on corrupt power, if more people thought the government was stealing their precious fluids we might get some major inquiries going into the criminal military industrial complex.
